Ipswich vs Wolves Odds

How both teams go into Ipswich vs Wolves

No one said it would be easy after Ipswich ended a 24-year absence from the Premier League, but since their return, only fellow promoted sides Southampton (9) and Leicester (17) have accumulated fewer points (20) after the opening 30 matches. It is seemingly becoming more likely that, for the second year in a row, all three promoted sides will go back down. Ipswich’s form has been shocking of late, with Kieran McKenna’s side picking up five points from the last 33 available. All five of those points came on the road.

At one point, it seemed Wolves would be sucked into a relegation battle, and they still could, but they have somewhat got their act together. With eight matches remaining, they currently sit one place above the drop zone but with a comfortable nine-point gap. Wolves are doing just enough and collected three valuable points at Southampton before the March international break and followed that up with a wi against West Ham. In fact, they are currently on a two-game winning run away from home after losing three on the bounce, although those losses came at the homes of three top-six clubs (Liverpool, Chelsea, and Newcastle).

Ipswich team news

Wesley Burns and Chiedozie Ogbene are no longer available for selection for Ipswich after suffering respective injuries. Samuel Szmodics and Conor Chaplin are also unavailable, while there are no return dates for Axel Tuanzebe and Arijanet Muric.

Wolves team news

Knee injuries have sidelined Leon Chiwone, Yerson Mosquera, and Enzo González until next season, while top scorer Matheus Cunha remains sidelined through suspension. However, there is no return date for Sasa Kalajdzic.

Ipswich vs Wolves head-to-head

Ipswich are currently on a two-game winning streak against Wolves, having failed to win in seven consecutive previous showdowns (five draws and two losses).
