What is Google Pay?

Google Pay is the digital payment functionality of the Google Wallet app, which is available for Android, Wear OS, Fitbit OS, and Chrome devices. The app allows you to store digital versions of your payment cards, loyalty cards, gift cards, ID cards, passes, tickets, and more.

Via Google Pay, you can then use these payment methods to deposits and withdrawals at gambling sites, without actually sharing sensitive data like card numbers and CVV codes. There are no fees, and deposits are instant. It’s worth noting that there’s still a lot of confusion about Google Pay and Google Wallet. This is because, until 2022, they used to be separate apps. However, Google Pay is now fully integrated into Google Wallet.

Top Google Pay Betting Sites

    1. Bet365  – Best Google Pay Sportsbook for In-Play Betting

One of the UK’s premier online bookmakers, Bet365 is well-known for its leading Bet-Builder, in-play markets, live streaming, and free bet promos. You’ll find all the major traditional sports like football, cricket, rugby and tennis, alongside niche sports and esports.

Additionally, Bet365 also offers a growing casino packed with slots, table games, and live dealer games. The minimum Google Pay deposit at Bet365 is just £5, but unfortunately, withdrawals are not supported (keep reading because we’ll run through some alternative payment methods later).

    2. Copybet – The Google Pay Bookies with Automated Copy Betting

As the name suggests, Copybet is unique in that it allows you to copy the bets of tipsters using an automated copy-betting system. If you’re feeling confident, you can even become a tipster yourself and earn subscription fees from your followers.

Copybet is one of the few UK sports betting sites that currently supports Google Pay for both deposits (min. £10) and withdrawals (up to 2 banking days).

    3. Ladbrokes – Top Google Pay Sports Betting App

While all the best UK sportsbooks offer mobile apps, the Ladbrokes Android app is very highly rated – with 4.5 stars from over 1 million downloads. You’ll find a huge choice of sports markets, live streaming, bet boosts, enhanced offers and plenty of daily promos too.

Alongside sports betting, Ladbrokes also offers casino games, live dealer games, bingo, poker, and arcade games. Ladbrokes accepts Google Pay for deposits of at least £5 but hasn’t enabled G Pay withdrawals yet.

    4. Coral – Best Google Pay Site for Football Betting

One of the most iconic betting brands in Britain, Coral offers a massive choice of sports and esports markets. It’s highly regarded by football fans, and its cash-out option and in-play betting are extremely popular.

Like other top UK sports betting sites, Coral has also expanded to offer casino, bingo, and poker. Currently, the site accepts Google Pay deposits (£5 min.) but does not support withdrawals.

    5. BoyleSports – Top Google Pay Bookies for Daily Free Bets

Another well-known high street bookmaker, BoyleSports offers an impressive selection of sports markets covering everything from football and racing to snooker and dogs. You’ll always find competitive odds, plenty of promotions, and free bets.

BoyleSports also offers a casino, live casino, bingo, poker, and lotto. While BoyleSports does accept Google Pay deposits, no further information is provided. However, we assume Google Pay is not available for withdrawals yet.

    6. Matchbook – Best Google Pay Betting Exchange

If you appreciate the benefits of betting exchange over a traditional sportsbook, Matchbook is a great choice. Its peer-to-peer betting platform gives you the chance to enjoy exceptional odds and the choice of sports betting markets is excellent. The Matchbook mobile app for Android is also one of the highest-rated of its kind at Google Play.

Although it’s very much sports-focused, Matchbook also offers casino, live casino, and virtual sports games. Google Pay deposits are accepted (min. £10), and withdrawals are supported, typically taking up to 24 hours.

    7. Netbet – Great Pick for Google Pay Sports Betting, Casino & Poker

With its bold modern design, Netbet stands out from the crowd with its full spectrum online gambling offering. You’ll find a comprehensive sportsbook, complete with in-play betting, cash-out, and lots of daily promotions and free bets, plus a great casino and poker product.

Like most online sportsbooks, Netbet only accepts Google Pay for deposits (min. £10), so you’ll have to use an alternative method for withdrawals.

    8. BetUK – Patriotic Google Pay Sports Betting

With an RAF-style roundel in the logo and its red, white and blue colour scheme, things don’t get much more British than BetUK. Bet on national favourites like football, horse racing, cricket and greyhounds, or wager on sports from across the waves like American football and Australian rules. The odds are competitive, and you’ll find features like in-play betting and enhanced offers.

In addition to sports, BetUK also has a great casino and live casino, offering hundreds of games. Google Pay deposits of £10 or more are accepted, and withdrawals usually take between 1-3 banking days.

Can You Use Google Pay to Claim a Sign-Up Bonus?

Online betting sites will sometimes exclude deposits made with certain payment methods from qualifying for sign-up bonuses. However, this is more common for payment methods like Skrill, Paysafe and Neteller, than for Google Pay.

For example, the Coral and Ladbroke sportsbook sign-up bonuses are not available for customers depositing funds with Prepaid Cards, Moneybookers, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, or Skrill. But, Google Pay deposits will qualify. To be on the safe side, before you deposit to claim any online gambling promotional offer, always check the terms and conditions for payment exclusions.

How Fast Are Google Pay Withdrawals at UK Bookmakers?

Google Pay / Google Wallet withdrawals at our recommended UK sports betting sites will take anywhere from 1 to 3 banking days. However, as always, things can be delayed if an operator is obliged to conduct extra KYC (know your customer) checks.

Advantages of Using Google Pay at Betting Sites

Using Google Pay and Google Wallet at online gambling sites has several major advantages. The most obvious is convenience. By storing multiple payment methods in your Google Wallet, you can easily access them and don’t have to enter all your card details every time you want to deposit.

Furthermore, when transacting with the merchant (in this case, the sportsbook operator), Google Pay never shares your sensitive data, like card details. This significantly reduces the risk of your details falling into the wrong hands – for example, if the gambling operating company gets hacked.

Plus, there are no fees for using Google Pay to deposit, or for withdrawing to your Google Wallet, so it’s also a very efficient payment method.

Disadvantages of Using Google Pay at Betting Sites

The main drawback of Google Pay is that it still isn’t as widely accepted as other payment methods – and even out of those sportsbooks that do accept it, most only support deposits. Of course, if you don’t use an Android device or Google Chrome, you won’t be able to use Google Pay at all.

Alternatives to Google Pay at UK Betting Sites

If you don’t want to use Google Pay, there are plenty of other convenient options. Here are some of the most popular:

                • Visa/Mastercard debit – The most widely accepted payment method at UK online betting sites. Debit cards are convenient, secure, and can be used for both deposits and withdrawals (which typically take 1-2 banking days).
                • Apple Pay – If you use an iPhone, you can use Apple’s alternative to Google Pay. It’s very similar, offering super fast, highly convenient payments. However, like G Pay, it’s still not so widely accepted.
                • PayPal – A household name thanks to its long association with eBay in the early days of the internet, PayPal is still a very secure and convenient payment method. Many UK betting sites accept it, but deposits made via it are often excluded from promotional offers.
                • Skrill – One of the most popular digital wallets in the British online betting space. It offers low-cost, fast and safe payments. But, in common with PayPal, Skrill deposits often don’t qualify for special offers.
                • Neteller– Another widely accepted eWallet that’s ideal for convenient online gambling deposits and withdrawals. But like other digital wallets, it’s frequently excluded from bonus offers.
                • Paysafecard – A well-established pre-paid service that is accepted by many UK sportsbooks and casinos. The downside is that it can only be used for deposits.
