Sitting 10th on 12 points, Brest have won three, drawn three and lost three of their nine Ligue 1 games. They won 2-0 at Lorient last time out, with Ludovic Ajorque and Noah Edjouma on target. Before that, they lost 2-1 at home to Nice, drew 1-1 at Lille and thrashed Angers 5-1.

The latest Brest injury report, published before the Lorient game, listed Raphael Le Guen (broken fibula), Brendan Chardonnet (calf) and Giovani Versini as out. Romain Cagnon was a doubt with a knock.

Ernest Nuamah leads their league scoring with four goals, but he was not in the squad on Thursday. Corentin Tolisso and Zachary Athekame have two goals and three assists each. Injuries are biting too, with Openda, Sulc, Morton and Mohamed Ouedraogo all ruled out before the trip to Spain.
