Premium Tips
Anthony Eadson’s two Premium Tips for Falkirk vs Celtic, each priced up with one of our featured bookmakers.
| Premium Tip | Odds | Why we’re backing it |
|---|---|---|
| Over 3.5 goals | 6/5 (bet365) | Celtic are the division’s dominant force and they travel in sparkling attacking form, scoring 12 goals in five away games this season and putting seven past Hearts in a recent home rout. Falkirk, for their part, score plenty at home and have found the net in nine of their 11 league games, so a tight, cagey afternoon looks unlikely. The head-to-head leans the same way, with three of the last five meetings between the clubs producing three goals or more. At 6/5, Over 3.5 goals is an appealing way to back the quality at the top end of the pitch. |
| Jacob Murrell to score anytime | 5/2 (Sky Bet) | Jacob Murrell has scored five of Falkirk’s league goals this season and has started eight of the nine games he has played, so he is the hosts’ main threat. Celtic are the division’s best side, but Falkirk have scored in nine of their 11 league games, which makes a home goal a realistic ask. Sky Bet go 5/2 on the striker scoring at any time, the biggest price in the market for a player with his record. |

How Falkirk go into the game
Sixth-placed Falkirk have been one of the stories of the season, collecting 15 points and arriving on the back of three straight league wins. Last time out they won 1-0 away at Aberdeen, a result that underlined their newfound resilience.
Home form is the one blot, however, with just two wins from five at Falkirk Stadium and seven goals conceded there. Hosting the runaway leaders represents a very different test.
How Celtic go into the game
Celtic sit top of the Scottish Premiership and look ominously strong, 28 points from 11 games with a goal difference of plus 19. They have been imperious away from home, winning all five league games on the road.
Away from home Celtic have scored 12 and conceded just three in five outings, keeping clean sheets with regularity. Their only slight wobble came last time out, a 2-2 home draw with Dundee United that allowed the gap behind them to breathe.

Falkirk vs Celtic head-to-head

| 14/01/26 | Falkirk | 1-0 | Celtic |

Celtic hold the whip hand in this fixture, winning four of the last five league meetings with Falkirk. The one exception was a memorable night in January, when Falkirk won 1-0 at Falkirk Stadium, so the hosts will take belief from that result even against the champions.
