No stopping the Gunners
- Arsenal have won seven consecutive games without conceding in all competitions for the first time in the Premier League era.
Arsenal’s only defeat this season came in August as they fell to a 1-0 loss at Anfield.
Even then, it took a Dominik Szoboszlai wonderstrike to settle the game on Merseyside.
Since that loss, Arsenal are unbeaten in 12, and have won their last nine. The last seven victories have been to nil, achieving the feat for the first time in the Premier League era. Nick Woltemade was the last player to score against Arsenal, 685 minutes of game time ago.

Set piece again ole ole
- Arsenal are the first side in Premier League history to score eight goals from corners in the first 10 games of a Premier League campaign.
Gyokeres’ opener at Burnley on Saturday saw Arsenal write their name into the history books.
Declan Rice’s corner was knocked back across goal by Gabriel for Gyokeres to score fourth league goal of the season.
It means Arsenal have scored eight goals from corners in the first 10 games. They are the first team to do so in Premier League history.

Winless Wolves
- Wolves are the first side in Premier League history to go winless in their opening 10 games of consecutive seasons.
Wolves fell to a 3-0 loss at Fulham on Saturday, a defeat that cost Vitor Pereira his job.
The Midlands side have now received as many red cards as they have collected points (2) this season.
You’d forgive supporters suffering from a sense of déjà vu. They failed to win the opening 10 league games of the 2024-25 season, the first team to do so in Premier League history.

Chelsea’s home away from home
- Chelsea have won more Premier League games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium than any other away side.
‘Tottenham Hotspur, it happened again’ Chelsea fans chanted after their 1-0 win at Tottenham on Saturday.
Joao Pedro’s first half goal was enough to settle the London derby as the Blues claimed another victory over Spurs.
Saturday’s win over a drab Spurs side means they have won six times at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, more than any other away side.

Frank engine running fumes
- Tottenham’s xG of 0.05 against Chelsea was their lowest on record (since 2012-13) in a Premier League game.
Tottenham put in a drab performance in their London derby defeat to Chelsea.
Thomas Frank’s call to arms didn’t translate to a sound showing on home turf. Fans rightly vented their fury at half and full time.
That’s because Spurs managed just one shot on target across 90 minutes and an xG return of 0.05, their lowest on record in a Premier League game.

Salah-Salah-Salahdise
- Mohamed Salah has equalled Wayne Rooney’s record for the most goal involvements for a single side in Premier League history.
After a sub-par start to the season, Mohamed Salah has scored in his last two league outings. They say goals are like London buses.
While gifted the opener in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa, it was one greatly received by Salah.
The Egyptian has now been directly involved in 276 Premier League goals for Liverpool, matching Wayne Rooney’s single-side record.

West Ham ground the Magpies
- Nuno Espirito Santo has won his first game in charge of West Ham. It’s the Hammers’ first Premier League home win since February.
West Ham have endured a disappointing season to date. They had won just one league game ahead of Sunday’s welcome of Newcastle.
The Hammers upset the odds, however, to beat Newcastle 3-1 at the London Stadium at the weekend.
The home triumph was Nuno’s first as West Ham boss, and the east London side’s first at the London Stadium since February.
Home is where the Haaland is
- Erling Haaland is the third player in Premier League history to score multiple goals in four successive home games after Luis Suarez and Robbie Fowler.
Erling Haaland’s brace against Bournemouth on Sunday took him to 13 league goals for the season. He’s now scored at least seven more goals than any other player.
The Norwegian hitman joined illustrious company with his two-goal salvo in the 3-1 win the Cherries.
A brace means Haaland is the third player in Premier League history to score multiple goals in four successive home games after former Liverpool pair Luis Suarez and Robbie Fowler.

Cherk it out
- Rayan Cherki is the only player in Europe’s top five leagues to provide multiple assists in five different games across all competitions in 2025.
Rayan Cherki has endured an injury hit start to life at Manchester City.
However, he’s made an impressive return to the City XI having scored at Swansea in midweek and returned a brace of assists on Sunday.
The Frenchman has now provided multiple assists across five different games across all competitions in 2025. He’s the only player to do so.
Sunderland’s party piece
- Sunderland have gained more points from losing positions than any other team in the Premier League this season (8).
Count Sunderland out at your peril. The Black Cats sit fourth in the Premier League, and it’s totally deserved. They’ve won five of their opening 10 games, drawing three and losing just two.
Draw number three came against Everton at the Stadium of Light, with Sunderland coming from a goal down to secure the point. And we shouldn’t be surprised.
It’s the eighth point Sunderland have gained from losing positions in the Premier League this season. That’s the most of any team in the top flight.
