Tottenham team news vs Burnley and predicted lineup

Tottenham Hotspur travel to Turf Moor this Saturday to face Burnley at 3pm with Thomas Frank still under serious pressure.

The under-fire Danish boss received a major boost midweek when his side beat 10-men Borussia Dortmund. While that put Tottenham fifth in the Champions League table, they are languishing in 14th in the Premier League and have just one win from their last seven games.

Tottenham predicted lineup vs Burnley

Tottenham Predicted XI: (4-3-3) Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Spence; Gray, Bissouma, Gallagher; Odobert, Solanke, Tel.

Despite mounting injury woes, this is a real chance for Frank to kick on against a Clarets side who look destined for an immediate return to the Championship.

Tottneham face a Burnley side featuring former players Kyle Walker and Marcus Edwards.

Frank can’t catch a break right now on the injury front. Lucas Bergvall is the latest player to join treatment list. His ankle injury suffered in the win over Dortmund could keep him out for months.

Elsewhere, Ben Davies, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur, Richarlison and Mohamed Kudus all remain long-term absentees.

Palhinha and Pape Matar Sarr remain doubts due to injury and illness respectively. So we could see a first league start for forgotten man Yves Bissouma since May 2025.

He is likely to be joined in midfield by Conor Gallagher, who was ineligible midweek, and the ever-improving Archie Gray.

Mathys Tel may also come in to give Tottenham a greater threat up front, with Djed Spence reverting to left-back.

Can Frank build on vital win over Dortmund?

Frank almost certainly saved his job with the win over Dortmund, at least for the time being. It was the first time in a long while that there was any positivity at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

That will disappear once again if Tottenham can’t pick up three points at Turf Moor against a side in even worse form than them. Burnley have failed to win any of their last 13 league games. Scott Parker will be buoyed by back-to-back draws against Manchester United and Liverpool though and will fancy ruffling his former club’s feathers.

If Tottenham are to make it two consecutive wins, they will need to return to the away form that got their season off to such a strong start. After winning four and drawing one of their first five games on the road, the North Londoners have lost three and won just one of the six since.

Frank’s first win came against Burnley on the first day of the league season and another will be needed here to keep his head above water.
