Liverpool team news vs Crystal Palace
Liverpool played at half-strength for their defeat against Brighton and Hove Albion last time out. But Arne Slot should go with as strong an XI as possible, to end the campaign on the high.
The only barrier to that the absence of Alexis Mac Allister, whom Liverpool are not willing to risk with a minor injury. Dominik Szoboszlai started alongside Ryan Gravenberch in midfield against Brighton, but he may be pushed further forward, Curtis Jones dropping deeper.
That would see Harvey Elliott drop out of the team that started against Brighton. The only other absentee from the starting XI — in terms of Liverpool’s full-strength side — will be Trent Alexander-Arnold.
He has been relegated to the bench after confirming his imminent departure, with Conor Bradley given a run of starts at right-back. We should see Virgil van Dijk return to the defence, replacing Jarell Quansah, with Andrew Robertson coming in for Kostas Tsimikas.

The front four should pick itself. Szoboszlai looks set to be joined by Mo Salah, Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz, with the latter back in the XI after a rest.

Two goal involvements against Palace and Salah will take the record outright.
But Salah’s not the man in form for Liverpool at the moment. That’s Luis Diaz.
Diaz has either scored or assisted in each of his past seven Premier League games at Anfield. The Colombian has scored four and assisted three during that run. In fact, he loves playing at Anfield in general.
Diaz has been directly involved in 18 goals for Liverpool in the Premier League this season, with 11 of those (61.11%) coming at Anfield.
