Stefanos Tsitsipas bowed out of the French Open at the quarter final stage after losing in straight sets to Carlos Alcaraz.
The world number five made the final of the first grand slam of the year at the Australian Open, but was defeated by Novak Djokovic in straight sets, leaving him still searching for the first major title of his career.
Runner-up to Djokovic at Roland Garros in 2021, Tsitsipas has seen off Jiri Vesely, Roberto Carballes Baena, Diego Schwartzman and Sebastian Ofner this year – dropping just a single set along the way.
That has seen him through to the quarter-finals, where he came short against the world number one.
