Millwall Squawka Score ratings 2026/27
A year on from a third-place finish and 83 points, Millwall are 12th with a goal difference of exactly zero. Alex Neil’s side have won three of eight and lost three, and the defensive rigidity that defined last season – 18 clean sheets, the best record in the division – has not travelled: 15 conceded in eight is more than anyone in the top half. Below, we take a look at Millwall’s most-used XI so far and how each player has performed, based on the Squawka Score rating system.
The Squawka Score is a metric developed to assess a player’s performance relative to other players in the same position. It is shown as a percentage, and it is worth knowing that 66% is average rather than 50% – a 70% is a good afternoon and 85% or above marks out one of the best players on the pitch. Each score is calculated from a range of per-90-minute statistics, taking in the obvious numbers such as goals and assists alongside some more obscure ones that are far more position-specific. A player’s season figure is simply the average of his match ratings.
One note on the Championship: the division does not carry expected-goals data, so these ratings are built on volume and quality of actions – shots, big chances, duels, clearances, passes into the box – rather than xG and xA.

GK: Max Crocombe – 60% – Thirteen saves from five starts and no clean sheets to his name. Crocombe has not had much protection, but the goalkeeping position is one of several where Millwall look less settled than a year ago.
RB: Jordi Osei-Tutu – 58% – The lowest rating in the side. Four starts and 326 minutes have produced a big chance missed and very little else. Right-back has been Millwall’s most unsettled position.
RCB: Caleb Taylor – 72% – The best defender at the club. Sixteen interceptions leads the squad, with 41 duels won, 29 aerials, 38 clearances, nine blocked shots, two goals and an assist from every available minute. Three clean sheets, and the 15 conceded on his watch says more about those around him.
LCB: Jake Cooper – 66% – The captain has 50 clearances and 10 blocked shots, both club-leading figures, with 26 aerial duels won and a club-high 52 progressive passes. Cooper remains the organising presence and has played all but eight minutes of the season.
LB: Zak Sturge – 62% – Twelve tackles won leads the club, along with 21 possessions regained in his own third, 34 passes into the penalty area and an assist. Sturge has been busy on both sides of the ball without dominating either.
RCM: Jenson Metcalfe – 60% – A season of extremes. Fourteen chances created and four clear-cut both lead the club, as do 49 passes into the penalty area and 23 corners, and he has two assists. Against that: 21 fouls, three yellow cards, a red card and two errors leading to shots, all club worsts. Enormously influential and enormously undisciplined.
LCM: Derek Mazou-Sacko – 57% – Four starts, 336 minutes and eight tackles won. Too small a sample to judge and the lowest rating in the side, which reflects the minutes as much as the performances.
AM: Lyndon Dykes – 74% – Millwall’s best player and an unusual one. Four goals, a converted penalty and five shots on target, but the eye-catching figures are 57 duels won and 49 aerial duels won – both club highs from a player nominally operating as a No.10. Dykes is doing a centre-forward’s physical job from deeper.
RW: Mark Sykes – 66% – A goal and 13 chances created, three of them clear-cut, from five starts. Sykes has been a productive outlet on the right and 15 possessions regained in the middle third shows he works without the ball too.
LW: Camiel Neghli – 70% – Two goals, two assists and 14 chances created, with a club-leading 72 passes into the final third and 22 possessions regained in the middle third. Neghli has been the most complete attacking player in the side and has featured in all eight games.
ST: Taïryk Arconte – 67% – Three goals from a club-high 16 shots, with 38 touches in the opposition box, also the most in the side. Four big chances missed is the frustration – a better conversion rate and Millwall would be several places higher.
