Bournemouth Squawka Score Ratings 2025/26

The 2025/26 season is now in the rearview mirror, and it was a historic one for Bournemouth, who now have European football to look forward to in the fast-approaching 2026/27 campaign. Take a look at the Cherries’ most-used XI from last season below and how the players have managed to perform according to the Squawka Score rating system.

The Squawka Score is a metric developed to assess a player’s performance related to other players in the same position. It’s a percentage rating from 0 to 100, calculated based on various per-90-minute statistics, including the obvious stats such as goals and assists, but also some more obscure ones that are more position-specific.

GK: Djordje Petrovic – 53% – Petrovic improved across the season, but he still sits in the lower half for goalkeepers. His passing let him down the most, while Petrovic also sits in the 40-60th percentile for a lot of goalkeeping metrics.

RB: Alex Jimenez – 60% – Jimenez sits in the middle of the pack for most defensive stats, but he does rank in the 80-95th percentile among full-backs for his tackles won per 90 minutes. It’s a similar story for last-man tackles, too.

CB: James Hill – 61% – Hill made this spot his own, with decent records in both aerial duel and ground duel success rate. He ranked in the 95th percentile and above among centre-backs for his 4.88 aerial duels won per 90 and 7.19 clearances. His passing brings the Score down, slightly.

CB: Marcos Senesi – 60% – Senesi makes up for Hill’s shortcomings, sitting in the 95th percentile for passes completed into the final third (7.22). He also joins Hill in the 95th percentile and above for clearances per 90 — even better at 6.92. But he’s not as strong in the duel.

LB: Adrien Truffert – 62% – Truffert ranks well in his position, averaging 3.81 clearances per 90, placing him in the 80-95th percentile among full-backs. He also sits there for his 1.29 interceptions per 90 and open-play crosses completed. Truffert made an impact at both ends of the pitch.

CM: Alex Scott – 59% – Scott doesn’t have the greatest Score, but he grew into his role across the season. He only averaged 0.76 challenges lost per 90, and 2.61 possessions won in the defensive third, doing his bit at the back.

CM: Tyler Adams – 56% – Adams sits in the 80-95th percentile among central midfielders for his 1.67 interceptions retaining possession per 90. The American wasn’t too bad on the ball, either, completing 86.76% of his open-play passing while boasting a retention rate of 86.56%.

RW: Rayan – 67% – Rayan was a good addition to Bournemouth’s team after his arrival in January. He averaged 0.4 goals per 90, with 0.16 intentional assists. Rayan also ranked well for his lack of dispossessions and offsides.

AM: Eli Junior Kroupi – 58% – Kroupi set the Premier League alight in 2025/26, ranking in the 95th percentile and above for his 0.7 goals per 90. They came from 1.18 shots on target per 90, with 0.11 of the goals coming from outside the box. But he wasn’t overly involved on the ball, which does let his Score down.

LW: Antoine Semenyo – 66% – Semenyo ended the season as a Man City player, but still made it into Bournemouth’s most-used XI. And his Score is just as much for his performances at Bournemouth, as it was with Man City.

ST: Evanilson – 52% – Evanilson ranks poorly in key striking metrics, including goals and non-penalty post-shot Expected Goals per 90. But he does have a decent return on a lack of big chances missed per 90.

Bournemouth’s set-piece specialists:

  • Penalties: Marcus Tavernier, Eli Junior Kroupi
  • Free-kicks: Marcus Tavernier, Justin Kluivert, Alex Scott
  • Corners: Marcus Tavernier, Alex Scott
