Wolves odds to be relegated: Outright odds and predictions

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ relegation from the Premier League appears to have been all-but sealed a long time ago, so unsurprisingly you can only get incredibly short odds on Wolves to be relegated this season.

It’s been a simply horrific season to be a Wolves fan. After 26 games, the Midlands side sit rock bottom of the Premier League and indeed they’re yet to even reach the dreaded 11 point mark set by Derby County as the worst ever Premier League campaign back in 2007/08.

Performances have picked up somewhat since Vitor Pereira, now of Nottingham Forest, was sacked and replaced by boyhood Wolves fan Rob Edwards. However, the ex-Luton manager has not yet been able to find any real consistency and the gap between themselves and 17th place appears to be widening.

At this stage, Wolves sit on nine points with 12 games remaining with 18 points separating them from Nottingham Forest in 17th at this stage.

Wolves odds to be relegated from the 2025-26 Premier League: Outright odds and predictions

Wolves’ odds of remaining in the Premier League are incredibly long at this stage, with the men in gold now available at 1/200 at best with the bookmakers that have odds available. Many have stopped taking bets on Rob Edwards’ team to be relegated, including BetMGM, while some are offering a cursory 1/500 or shorter.

Wolves’ odds to stay up in the 2025-26 Premier League top half: Outright odds and predictions

Wolves have managed two top-half finishes in the past five Premier League seasons, coming seventh in 2019–20 under Nuno Espirito Santo, and 10th in 2021–22. Since then, it’s been a mixed bag of mid-table safety and managerial turnover, with more questions than consistency.

This season? Less so.

To say this season has been disastrous for Wolves would be an understatement and

Wolves Golden Boot odds: Outright odds and predictions

No Wolves player has ever lifted the Premier League Golden Boot, and that doesn’t look likely to change anytime soon. Raul Jimenez came closest during the club’s impressive post-promotion run, scoring 17 goals in 2019–20, but even that was well off the league-leading mark.

Last season, Matheus Cunha finished as Wolves’ top scorer in the Premier League with 15 goals, but has now made the switch to Manchester United.

This season, not a single player in the squad has managed to score more than two league goals at this stage. Hwang Hee-Chan, Tolu Arokodare, Ladislav Krejci, Mateus Mane and Santiago Bueno are all tied on two.

Wolves PFA Player of the Year odds: Outright odds and predictions

Wolves have had notable standouts over the years, with players like Raul Jimenez, Ruben Neves, Pedro Neto, and Matt Doherty having featured in club Player of the Year honours; however, none have claimed the top PFA individual accolade voted on by fellow professionals. That’s not likely to change this season either given the poor overall performance of this Wolves outfit.

Wolves ins and outs

In the summer, Wolves brought in Fer Lopez from Celta Vigo for a fee of around £23m. The 21-year-old is predominantly a right winger and will look to help fill the huge gap that will be left in the final third after Matheus Cunha’s departure. Cunha provided 15 league goals last season, before Manchester United parted with £62.5m to acquire his services.

There were further reinforcements out wide in the form of Jhon Arias from Fluminense.

Rayan Ait-Nouri has also made the move to the North West after Manchester City splashed £31 million on the left-sided defender, who has been replaced by David Moller Wolfe from AZ Alkmaar.

Goncalo Guedes, Nelson Semedo, Pablo Sarabia and Chiquinho all left the club.

In January, striker Adam Armstrong arrived from Southampton for a £7m fee alongside youngsters Xu Bin and Dapo Anunlopo on free transfers but the main business came in the form of outgoings.

Jorgen Strand Larsen joined Crystal Palace for a £43m fee, while Emmanuel Agbadou and Jhon Arias were also moved on as the club begins preparations for life back in the second tier.
