Brentford are seeking to secure another top-half finish as they bid to build on their performance from last season.
The Bees finished two points clear of 11th-placed Fulham last season. It was their second-best finish in in the Premier League, finish one place and three points lower than their 2022-23 campaign.
But this is a new era at Brentford. And it’s going very well.
Brentford odds to finish in the 2025-26 Premier League top six: Outright odds and predictions
Brentford were not fancied to be in this position. Before their Premier League journey, Brentford experienced five seasons in England’s first division between 1935 and 1947, in which they finished inside the top six on three occasions.
Achieving the feat this season would break an 88-year wait for the Bees. But recent history is not on their side. A ninth-placed finish in 2022-23 marked the club’s best showing, which came a year after their promotion.
Last season, they ended up 10 points behind Aston Villa, who finished sixth. With the competition in the league intensifying, there is potential for improvement.

Brentford odds to finish in the 2025-26 Premier League top half: Outright odds and predictions
Brentford have secured two top-half finishes in their past three seasons. In between those was a 16th-placed finish, in a season that saw them struggle even without ever really being in danger of relegation.
At the moment, Keith Andrews looks set on having his side secure back-to-back top-half finishes. And it will be seen as some job, given Brentford were one of the sides tipped to battle relegation before the season started.

Brentford odds to finish in the 2025-26 Premier League top five: Outright odds and predictions
Dare Brentford dream of Champions League football? It seemed unthinkable when Thomas Frank left for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer. But there’s a chance. Top five looks likely to be enough for a Champions League spot this season, due to English teams’ performances in Europe.
Brentford’s highest-ever finish did see them as the fifth-best team in English football. But that came 90 years ago, in the 1935-36 campaign. There was no European reward for that finish, with only glory going to the league winners.

Brentford Golden Boot odds: Outright odds and predictions
You will not be surprised to learn that Brentford have never had a Premier League Golden Boot recipient, with Ivan Toney finishing third in 2022-23 with 20 goals (a whopping 16 behind eventual winner Erling Haaland).
More recently, Bryan Mbeumo equalled his former teammate’s return last season, which placed him in fourth, nine goals behind Mo Salah. Mbeumo netted one more than Yoane Wissa, with Kevin Schade (11) the only other Brentford player to reach double figures.
Igor Thiago has been firing on all cylinders for Brentford this season. He’s Haaland’s closest challenger for the Golden Boot, and has a very good chance of breaking Brentford’s record for most goals in a single Premier League season.
Brentford PFA Player of the Year odds: Outright odds and predictions
The Bees have yet to see a player claim the PFA Player of the Year award.
Despite his excellent season, Igor Thiago is not fancied to win the PFA Player of the Year. In fact, no Brentford player is.

Brentford ins and outs
Thomas Frank was not the only outgoing at Brentford. Bryan Mbeumo, Yoane Wissa, Christian Norgaard and Mark Flekken all left from among Brentford’s first-team players. Ben Mee also left the club among other lower-profile departures.
But Brentford also made sure they refreshed their squad. Dango Ouattara was signed for a club-record £42.5million, while Caoimhin Kelleher joined to become their No.1 goalkeeper. Antoni Milambo was the first signing of the Keith Andrews era, and Michael Kayode’s loan move was made permanent. Jordan Henderson was also signed to bring experience into the midfield.
