The very first meeting between these two players in professional competition could not have come at a greater stage.

The Chinese ace defeated 2005 champion Shaun Murphy in a deciding frame in round one, before repeating the feat in the quarter-finals as he held his nerve to edge out Anthony McGill.
The two players will battle it out over the best of 33 frames, with the winner booking their place in this year’s World Snooker Championship final.
