Brazil vs Haiti team news and predicted lineups

Brazil will be hoping to get their first win at the 2026 World Cup when they take on Haiti on Saturday at 2am (UK time).

The five-time world champions opened the tournament with a 1-1 draw against Morocco, having to come from behind in their opening game. Brazil trailed through Ismael Saibari’s strike midway through the first half, but Vinicius Junior brought them level just after the half-hour mark. It left Brazil third in the group after one game.

Haiti sit bottom of the group after losing their opening game. It was a narrow 1-0 defeat to Scotland thanks to John McGinn’s goal just before the half-hour mark, but Haiti outperformed expectations. They’ll need a big performance, though, if they are to cause an upset and have a chance of reaching the knockout stages.

This will be the fourth meeting between these two sides, and Brazil have dominated. They’ve won all three matches, scoring 17 goals and conceded just one.

Brazil vs Haiti team news

Brazil team news

Carlo Ancelotti came under fire for his starting XI against Morocco, and fans will be pleading for changes. He could give them what the way. The main change will be in attack, as Igor Thiago failed to inspire as the striker. Endrick could come in to replace him, after failing to make it off the bench against Morocco. Another change may see Lucas Paqueta replaced by Matheus Cunha, though the latter could also lead the line.

Raphinha didn’t have the best game against Morocco but will keep his place on the right of the attack, with Vinicius Jr on the left. Ancelotti has another bold call to make in midfield. While Bruno Guimaraes is certain to start, Casemiro struggled against Morocco. Fabinho came on to replace him at half-time, and may start ahead of him alongside Guimaraes. Midfielder Ederson may, unfortunately, be left watching from the bench again.

The back five is likely to remain the same, though. Gabriel and Marquinhos are the go-to centre-back pairing, with Douglas Santos and Roger Ibanez favoured on the left and right, respectively. Alisson will start in goal.

Haiti team news

One of the biggest calls for Haiti manager Sebastien Migne was in his strike partnership. Wilson Isidor was a guarantee to lead the line, but Frantzdy Pierrot won the battle against Duckens Nazon to join him. That will likely be the case against Brazil. In fact, Migne may not opt to change his starting lineup at all, given how they played against Scotland.

That would mean Ruben Providence and Louicius Deedson continue on the wings, providing the wide support for the strikers. Danley Jean Jacques also got the nod as part of the central midfield duo, alongside Jean-Ricner Bellegarde.

Johny Placide will start in goal, ahead of Josue Duverger and Alexandre Pierre. Martin Experience will play on the left side of the defence, with Carlens Arcus on the right. Hannes Delcroix and Ricardo Ade should start as the centre-back partnership.

Brazil vs Haiti predicted lineups

Brazil (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Ibanez, Marquinhos, Gabriel, Santos; Guimaraes, Fabinho; Raphinha, Cunha, Vinicius Jr; Endrick.

Haiti (4-4-2): Placide; Arcus, Ade, Delcroix, Experience; Deedson, Bellegarde, Jean Jacques, Providence; Isidor, Pierrot.
