West Ham vs Man City predicted XIs: Team news and probable line-ups
West Ham will entertain unbeaten champions Manchester City in Saturday’s teatime Premier League match in the third week of the campaign.
Predicted XIs:
West Ham: Areola; Coufal, Mavropanos, Kilman, Emerson; Rodriguez; Bowen, Soucek, Paqueta, Kudus; Antonio.
Manchester City: Ederson; Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol; Lewis, Kovacic; Savinho, Bernardo Silva, De Bruyne, Doku; Haaland.
West Ham did not get off to the best start under new manager Julen Lopetegui after losing 2-1 at home to Aston Villa in their season opener. However, they steadied the ship with an encouraging 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.
Jarrod Bowen scored on that occasion and netted the late winner in Wednesday’s 1-0 EFL Cup victory over Bournemouth. Therefore, he will be looking to impress against the champions.

West Ham vs Man City Team News
Lopetegui has no fresh injury concerns, and he has been easing his big summer signings into action over the opening couple of games. Niclas Füllkrug, who scored 12 goals for Borussia Dortmund last season, and Crysencio Summerville, who joined from Leeds, both started against the Cherries.
The pair will be looking to displace Michail Antonio, who has started both Hammers’ league outings and Mohammed Kudus. However, it would not be a massive surprise if the Spanish manager kept them both on the bench and went with the team that did the job for him at Selhurst Park.
City has yet to field star midfielder Rodri, who has been easing his way into training after the Euros. Promising youngster Oscar Bobb has broken his leg and is expected to be out of action for at least another three months.
Phil Foden has been recovering from a virus, so his involvement at the London Stadium looks doubtful. But hopes are high that midfielder Mateo Kovačić will have recovered from a knock. If he doesn’t make it, returning favourite İlkay Gündoğan is ready.
Jack Grealish, Nathan Ake, and Kyle Walker will aim to start the upcoming match after being on the bench against Ipswich last week. However, it’s unlikely that Pep Guardiola will make significant changes, considering their perfect start to the season.
