Tottenham team news vs Newcastle: Spurs likely to remain unchanged

Tottenham looked to have come through the international break unscathed with Antonio Conte having no fresh absentees following the recent World Cup qualifiers.
There are some doubts over Ben Davies, with the Welsh defender suffering some muscle tightness, but he should be ok to start the game this weekend.
As always, there will be plenty of eyes on Harry Kane, after his goal against Switzerland brought him closer to another England record. The striker has four in his last four games for Tottenham and will be looking to add to that tally against Newcastle.
Former teammate Joe Hart, has spoken about his admiration for Kane and how the talisman seems to be improving with age.
“The best finisher there was Kane,” said Hart. “I was with him for three years previously with England and thought he was awesome, a top player, but he really is a top player. I saw him three years later and it wasn’t just because I was with him every day it’s because this lunatic is still improving. He’s still getting better because of his mentality and work-ethic.
“He’s a phenom. Some people when they have good days they’re unplayable. When he has a good day he’s actually perfect. His heading, his pass, his touch, his finishing. He’s [as good as I’ve played with] and I’ve played with some good ones!”
Kane will take centre stage but the performances of Son and Kulusevski either side of him have been just as important to Tottenham’s fortunes recently and the North London side look to be unchanged following their 3-1 win over West Ham.

Eddie Howe will be missing several players for the trip to Tottenham, with Wilson and Trippier both being long term absentees. There are some doubts over Dubravka, although the goalkeeper has been training this week.
The same can be said for Schar, who should start the game despite there being some small doubts over the defender’s fitness. Howe is expected to stick with Joelinton in midfield, with the Brazilian impressing since the new manager took over.
