Tottenham enter their first match since the international break in fifth position in the Premier League, three points behind their biggest rivals, Arsenal. The two sides are locked in a battle for the coveted fourth spot and Champions League qualification.

Spur have won five of their last seven league matches, scoring at least twice in each of those victories, with Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son proving their worth to Antonio Conte’s side.

Newcastle have seen their fortunes falter in recent weeks, with two defeats in a row ended their great run of nine games without loss. Eddie Howe will be hoping the international break will have acted as a reset for the side in their bid to pull further away from the relegation zone.

The side from the North East have failed to score in their last two games and that will be something else Howe is keen to address. They had scored 14 times in nine games prior to that though, so definitely know where the goal is.

Four of the last five games featuring Tottenham have all seen at last four goals, with the North London team beginning to look like real contenders for the top four.

Tottenham vs Newcastle: Match Stats

Tottenham have won their last two games and will fancy their chances against a Newcastle side that have lost their last two. Tottenham haven’t lost at home since the middle of February and come into the match as favourites.

Newcastle had been in great form under Eddie Howe, going nine games unbeaten, but their past two games have ended in 1-0 defeats to Everton and Chelsea. Despite this, they remain nine points clear of the relegation zone.
