Spain to win & under 3.5 goals (11/10 with Sky Bet)
Spain were stunned by Cape Verde in their opening game, dominating possession and registering 27 shots but still being held to a 0-0 draw. It was another reminder that Luis de la Fuente’s side can control games without necessarily blowing teams away, especially against deep defensive blocks. Saudi Arabia showed exactly that kind of resilience in their first match too, frustrating Uruguay in a 1-1 draw and staying compact for long periods. Spain should still have far too much quality and urgency here, particularly with pressure already building after their slow start, but Saudi Arabia’s disciplined shape suggests this is unlikely to become a rout.

Spain are the stronger side here and that is reflected in the odds, but Saudi Arabia will look to sit deep and frustrate them and will likely be happy with a narrow defeat, knowing that a win against Cape Verde will take them through. As such, expect them to frustrate la Roja in a low-scoring match. Fewer than four goals have been scored in each of the last five games that the Green Falcons have played in, while Spain have conceded just twice across their last five outings. Expect a comfortable, if not particularly high-scoring Spain victory.

Ramin Rezaeian over 3.5 tackles (7/5 with Sky Bet)
Ramin Rezaeian was heavily involved defensively in Iran’s opening game of the tournament, finishing with five tackles as they spent long spells without the ball. The full-back is often aggressive in stepping out to engage wingers early, which naturally boosts his tackle numbers when Iran are under pressure. That should be the case again here, with the opposition expected to dominate possession and attack consistently down the flanks. Rezaeian averaged strong defensive numbers during qualification as well, and with Iran likely set up in a compact shape for much of the match, plenty of one-v-one situations should come his way.
Ramin Rezaeian was in the thick of the action in Iran’s opening game. He scored his nation’s first equaliser and assisted their second. The 36 year old full-back also made three tackles and he will likely be called on to make even more against Belgium. His direct opponent on the left wing for the Red Devils will likely be Jeremy Doku, known for his dribbling ability. He’ll be faced with the task of slowing the Manchester City man down here – expect tackles, maybe a few fouls and maybe even a card for the Esteghlal man.

Vozinha could be in for another busy evening when Cape Verde take on Uruguay in Group H. The veteran goalkeeper impressed in the opening draw with Spain, making a string of important saves as Cape Verde soaked up long periods of pressure against one of the tournament favourites. Uruguay also created plenty in their first game against Saudi Arabia despite only drawing 1-1, regularly working shooting opportunities in and around the box. Marcelo Bielsa’s side play at a high tempo and tend to force opposition keepers into action through volume alone, particularly with the amount of crosses and second balls they generate.
Vozinha made seven saves against Spain, who attempted 27 shots on their way to a 0-0 draw. Uruguay generated 25 shots against Saudi Arabia in their opener — and fired 22 shots in the second half alone, equalling a World Cup record for a single half. Bielsa’s side carry enormous attacking volume into this fixture. Cape Verde defend deep and invite pressure, so Vozinha will face a heavy workload again. Four saves looks well within reach.

Omar Marmoush to score or assist (1/1 with Sky Bet)
Omar Marmoush looked Egypt’s biggest attacking threat in their opening draw with Belgium, constantly driving at defenders and creating danger whenever he found space in transition. The forward is the focal point of his side’s attack alongside Mohamed Salah, whether operating centrally or drifting into wider areas. New Zealand conceded twice to Iran in their first game and looked vulnerable whenever they were pulled out of shape, particularly against quick movement around the box. Egypt should see plenty of the ball here, and with Marmoush heavily involved in both chance creation and finishing, he looks well placed to make a decisive contribution.
Marmoush is Egypt’s most dynamic attacker alongside Salah and carries 11 goals in 50 international appearances. His Manchester City pedigree – three Premier League goals and three assists this season – gives him real quality in the final third. Against Belgium, he led Egypt’s attack as they dominated for long spells. New Zealand failed to keep a clean sheet against Iran, leaving space on the counter. Marmoush’s pace and movement make him well-placed to exploit it.
