Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur face off in the Premier League on Sunday at 4:30pm, with Chris Kavanagh set to referee.
Kavanagh has refereed eight Premier League games so far this season, with only Michael Oliver and Anthony Taylor taking charge of more. Kavanagh is one of seven referees to have awarded at least two penalties in the Premier League this season. But he does also average just 3.6 cards per game.
Kavanagh has already reffed Liverpool this season. In fact, he’s been the man in the middle twice. He oversaw their 1-0 win over Arsenal in August and 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace in September. Kavanagh has also reffed this fixture twice before.
The Reds will be looking to build on their back-to-back wins across all competitions, trying to find form again. Man City are also hoping to string together three successive victories.
