It’s a clash of giants as Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich go head-to-head in the 2025 Fifa Club World Cup quarter-finals.

PSG were convincing winners against Inter Miami in the last 16, beating Lionel Messi’s side 4-0 in Atlanta, while Bayern beat Brazilian giants Flamengo 4-2 in an entertaining encounter at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.

The match is slated for a 5pm kick-off (UK time) on Saturday 5 July at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta and will be broadcast live in the United Kingdom on the DAZN app.

Over 4.5 goals (18/5 with BetMGM)

Bayern Munich have averaged 4.0 and 2.5 goals per game, respectively, at the Club World Cup so far, placing them second and fourth throughout the entire tournament in that regard. Both sides scored four goals in their last 16 ties, with Bayern Munich also conceding twice. With forwards like Harry Kane, Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue and Michael Olise on show, you can expect more fun and games here.

Bayern Munich to win (11/5 with Betfred)

While PSG are European champions and favourites to win this tie, Bayern Munich do have a hold over them historically. The Bavarians have beaten the Parisians in seven of their last eight competitive meetings, including the last four.

How both teams go into PSG vs Bayern Munich

PSG have pulled off some emphatic results so far in the Club World Cup, opening with a 4-0 win over Atletico Madrid and beating Inter Miami by the same scoreline last time out, while they also beat Seattle Sounders 2-0. However, there was a shock 1-0 loss to Botafogo in the middle of the group stage to keep them humble, although they remain among the most-backed sides to lift this trophy.

Similarly for Bayern, they’ve looked absolutely rampant at times, beating Auckland City 10-0 in their opener and putting four past Flamengo last time out. However, they also conceded twice in that challenging last-16 tie, while they needed a late goal to beat Boca Juniors 2-1 and lost their last group game 1-0 against Benfica — though they rotated heavily for that game.

This is the standout tie of the tournament so far and among the very biggest clashes we’re likely to see throughout.

PSG team news

PSG made it through their last-16 tie against Inter Miami unscathed, while all yellow cards have been wiped for the quarter-finals, meaning nobody is walking a suspension tight rope. Ousmane Dembele played his first 28 minutes of the tournament against Miami and may come into the starting XI for such a big clash.

Bayern Munich team news

Alphonso Davies is out until December, while Hiroki Ito won’t be fit again until just after the tournament. Bayern didn’t pick up any new injuries against Flamengo and were even able to reintroduce Jamal Musiala from the bench for the final 28 minutes, priming him for a more prominent role here.

PSG vs Bayern Munich head-to-head

These two sides have been regular foes in recent years but as mentioned, Bayern Munich have held almost total dominance. The most recent meeting was back in November during the Champions League groups stage, with Bayern winning 1-0 thanks to a goal from centre-back Min-Jae Kim.
