Norway Women play Scandinavian rivals Finland Women on Sunday 6th July in their second Group A match of Women’s Euro 2025. The match is being staged at the Stade de Tourbillon in Sion with a 5pm kick-off (UK time) and will be broadcast live in the UK on BBC Two.
Double Chance: Draw/Finland (13/10 with bet365)
Norway had to dig deep to beat hosts Switzerland 2-1 in their Group A opener. They did little to suggest they are anywhere the form that has taken them to the title twice before. They may have all-star names like Caroline Graham and Ada Hegerberg, but they only carved out eight chances against the Swiss. At the other end, goalkeeper Cecilie Fiskerstrand kept them in it with half a dozen saves.
Finland were on course for a goalless draw in a decent contest against higher-ranked Iceland. But the tie turned when Hildur Antonsdotti was sent off. Finland took advantage of the extra player and won 1-0. Finland are a tidy, settled side in good form who are more than capable of keeping the Norwegians at bay.
Ria Oling over 1.5 shots on target (16/1 with bet365)
Former Crystal Palace midfielder Ria Oling has enjoyed a career scoring goals. And she almost added to her tally in Finland’s win over Iceland. Oling had one effort on target and will be a threat to Norway arriving around the edge of the box.
The 30-year-old has 11 international goals and the ease with which Norway were opened up by Switzerland should have the Finns — who fired off 16 efforts against Iceland — confident they can find a way to goal.

How both teams go into Norway vs Finland
Norway and Finland go into their second games at the Women’s Euros with spirits high after winning their openers. The Finns kicked off the tournament with a hard-earned 1-0 win over Iceland, Saara Kosola scoring the only goal in the 70th minute.
And a few hours later two-time winners Norway broke the hearts of the home crowd by coming from a goal behind to beat Switzerland 2-1, a Julia Stierli own goal settling the tie. That was just a third win in six internationals for the Norwegians while Finland have lost only one of their last seven games.
Fifa’s rankings give Norway an advantage – they are ranked No.16 in the world, 10 places higher than Finland. But it was a 1-1 draw when the countries last met in Turku in a qualifier for these finals. Frida Maanum was Norway’s top scorer in qualifying with seven goals.
Norway team news
Gemma Grainger may opt to shuffle her team a little bit after their struggles against Switzerland. Thea Bjelde had a particularly rough time at right-back and picked up a yellow card. Grainger may also want to rotate her attack to play players in their actual positions.
Finland team news
Anna Koivunen got the nod in goal for Finland over the experienced Tinja-Riikka Korepla against Iceland, and should continue between the sticks. With the potential to secure a spot in the quarter-finals, Marko Saloranta may opt to field the same starting XI. Eva Nystrom is walking a tightrope after her yellow card in the opening game.
Norway vs Finland head-to-head
These two sides met in qualifying for Euro 2025, with Norway taking four points from the two matches. This included a 4-0 home win. Norway have lost just one of their past 14 games against Finland.
