Our PredictionOdds & BookmakerConfidenceWhy I’m Backing It
Draw14/5 @ Bet365
(47.6%)
⭐⭐⭐⭐The draw has to be a massive player here and, put simply, looks too big at 14/5. Mikel Arteta would snap your hand off for a point here. Before the League Cup defeat at Wembley last month, Arsenal had gone five unbeaten against Pep Guardiola’s side. Arsenal’s biggest strength is their defence, and they will look to shut out City and take a point back to London.
Rayan Cherki Anytime Assist7/2 @ BOYLESports
(22.2%)
⭐⭐⭐Rayan Cherki has enjoyed an excellent first season in Manchester and has recorded ten Premier League assists across 27 appearances. Six of those assists have come at The Etihad, with only Bruno Fernandes providing more in the top-flight this term. If City are to beat Arsenal on Sunday, Cherki looks the man to unlock the door.

How both teams head into Man City vs Arsenal

Manchester City are building momentum at a crucial stage of the season and now have Arsenal firmly in their sights heading into a huge title clash. A win here, followed by victory over Burnley in midweek, would see City climb to the top of the table for the first time since August. With confidence growing, they look ready to make their move in the title race.

Arsenal have set the pace for much of the season, but the recent defeat to Bournemouth has shifted the mood and handed momentum to Manchester City at a crucial point. What once looked comfortable now feels far more tense, with the title race tightening quickly. Even so, a draw at the Etihad would still keep Arsenal in a strong position, while a first win there since 2015 would be a huge statement and could effectively decide the title race in their favour.

Man City team news

John Stones is in contention to return, although Ruben Dias is expected to miss out again as this game comes too soon, while Nico O’Reilly looks set to be fit after training this week despite coming off injured at Chelsea.

Arsenal team news

Arsenal have a number of fitness concerns after Ricardo Calafiori, Jurrien Timber, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard all picked up issues in midweek, while Noni Madueke is also a doubt after being forced off early. Ben White and Piero Hincapie are on standby to step in at full back if needed, as Mikel Arteta weighs up his options.

Recent Meetings

City have had the better of this fixture, but Arsenal have closed the gap. The last five have seen two City wins, two draws, and an Arsenal hammering last season. Goals have been regular — only once in the last six have both failed to score.

Can Arsenal’s Defence Hold Firm Against Haaland? Final Thoughts

It’s all come down to this game, which could potentially decide where the title goes this season. There is no denying City have been stronger than Arsenal in recent weeks, but the defensive stability that Arteta’s men have shown should not be underestimated. We like the look of the draw at 14/5, and Rayan Cherki to provide an assist at 7/2.
