Best Bets & Predictions

Our PredictionOdds & BookmakerConfidenceWhy We’re Backing It
Brighton to Win1/1 @ Matchbook
(50.0%)
⭐⭐⭐Brighton have a strong home record in this fixture and have the added incentive of European football. If results go their way with Bournemouth losing, and Aston Villa finishing fifth, a win here could well mean Brighton are playing Champions League football next season. With United having nothing to play for, backing the hosts at evens looks the best bet here.
Bruno Fernandes to assist2/1 @ BOYLESports
(45.5%)
⭐⭐⭐Bruno Fernandes needs one more assist to break the record for the most assists in a single Premier League campaign. It was eveident last week just how much he and his teammates want Fernandes to break the record. Odds of 2/1 are considerably bigger than the 5/4 that was available last week and is a very backable price here.

How both teams go into Brighton into Man Utd

Brighton head into the final day of the Premier League season still unsure which European competition they could qualify for after last weekend’s late defeat to Leeds United.

Results elsewhere could yet see the Seagulls secure a place in the Champions League, Europa League or Conference League. However, there is also a chance Fabian Hurzeler’s side could miss out on European football altogether.

Man Utd head into the final weekend with third place already secured after their dramatic 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest last time out.

However, the Red Devils have struggled in recent visits to Brighton, losing three of their previous four Premier League matches at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton team news

Brighton and Hove Albion will be without Kaoru Mitoma for the final game of the season, while Mats Wieffer faces a late fitness test ahead of Sunday’s clash. Joel Veltman could continue at right-back if Wieffer is unavailable, while Stefanos Tzimas remains sidelined with a long term injury.

Man Utd team news

Man Utd will be without Matthijs de Ligt for the remainder of the season, while Benjamin Sesko is also a doubt for the trip to the South Coast as he continues to recover from a shin problem. Casemiro is expected to make his final appearance for the club on the final day.

Will Brighton make home advantage count?

Brighton’s home strengths and United’s defensive frailties make this a compelling contest. With both sides boasting attacking weapons and a history of high-scoring matches, we’re backing Brighton to edge it at 1/1 with Matchbook (50.0%). Will the Seagulls’ possession and creativity prove decisive, or can United’s firepower break their resistance? Our recommended tips reflect the best of both attacking and defensive trends in this fixture.
