Everton Double Chance4/5 @ Betfair
(55.6%)
⭐⭐⭐Brighton have struggled in recent weeks, winning just once in their last ten league games, while Everton sit three points clear and have gone unbeaten in their last five trips to the south coast. The Toffees boast one of the league’s strongest defences and most of their recent matches have been low-scoring. The Seagulls’ backline has only kept six clean sheets in 35 league games, leaving gaps Everton can exploit. Jack Grealish is unavailable, but Iliman Ndiaye and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall return, and striker Thierno Barry has hit four goals in his last five matches, showing he is starting to adapt to English football.
Danny Welbeck & Thierno Barry to Score14/1 @ BetMGM
(6.7%)
⭐⭐⭐There could be value here with all other bookmakers going shorter than the 14/1 MGM have on offer for Welbeck and Barry both to score. Against no side has Brighton’s Danny Welbeck been involved in more Premier League goals than he has against Everton (10 – 5 goals, 5 assists). While Since December 6th (when he scored his first Premier League goal), Everton’s Thierno Barry has scored five goals from just 10 shots in the Premier League, the best conversion rate of any player to have more than five shots in that time (50%).

How both teams go into Brighton vs Everton

Brighton have struggled for consistency, drawing with Man City and Bournemouth before a 2-1 defeat at Fulham, often conceding early with 55 percent of their league goals coming in the first half. They have also been behind at half time more than any other team this season.

Back at the Amex, Brighton have been strong at home, winning five of 11 matches and picking up 20 of their 30 points. Still, they have not beaten Everton in their last five home league games, drawing twice and losing three since 2019.

Everton have been inconsistent recently, winning two, drawing three and losing three of their last eight league games. They have scored the fewest goals of any top-half team but remain just three points behind sixth-placed Liverpool and five off fourth.

The Toffees have been strong away, keeping five clean sheets in their last six road games, including three in a row. After beating Brighton 2-0 at home in August, Everton aim to complete the league double over the Seagulls for only the second time since 1980-81.

Brighton team news

Solly March and Adam Webster are injured. Mats Wieffer will be assessed before kick-off.

Everton team news

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Iliman Ndiaye should return to the starting line-up.

Will Brighton turn the tide or will Everton’s defence hold strong?

Brighton’s attacking numbers suggest they’ll create chances, but Everton’s recent dominance and defensive organisation give them a real shot at another positive result. Brighton look too short in the market, and backing Everton to win or draw in the double chance market looks the best bet at 4/5.
