Man City team news vs Fulham

Man City have several players out with Abdukodir Khusanov the latest after he was substituted off against Liverpool with a potential concussion.

The Uzbek defender will sit out here with Ruben Dias set to return to the lineup following his injury return at Anfield.

Dias could be one of few changes from Sunday with Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki possibly coming in for Nico O’Reilly and Omar Marmoush.

John Stones, Josko Gvardiol, Mateo Kovacic, Savinho and Jeremy Doku all remain on the sidelines.

Man City look to build on Anfield launchpad

City’s seismic win at Anfield has the potential to supercharge the rest of their season with the nature of the victory demanding to be built on.

From Bernardo Silva’s timely first goal of the season and Erling Haaland’s first City goal at Anfield to seal the win in injury time to Gianluigi Donnarumma’s incredible save and the ridiculous ending to the game, there is so many moments for City to gain momentum from.

However, this is a different side to years gone by and it’s still hard to trust Pep Guardiola’s new-look side.

One of their several wobbly moments this season came at Craven Cottage in December when they almost threw away a 5-1 lead and ended up holding on for a 5-4 victory.

The win did make it a record-extending and remarkable 19th in a row against Fulham in the Premier League and nothing but a 20th will do as City look to pile the pressure on Arsenal ahead of their tricky trip to Brentford 24 hours later.

It won’t be easy against Marco Silva’s side, who came very close to a draw at Old Trafford just over a week ago, but now is the time for City to kick into gear.
