Manchester City and Al Ain will face off in the 2025 Fifa Club World Cup at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Monday 23rd June at 2am (UK time). This will be both teams’ second game in Group G of the revamped tournament and will be broadcast live on DAZN.
Man City to Win & Over 3.5 Goals (1/1 with Betway)
Six of Man City’s last seven international fixtures (non-domestic matches) have seen over 2.5 goals scored, with City themselves averaging 2.58 goals per game across those matches. Pep Guardiola’s side are just 1/20 in the match result market, so backing them to win the game and Over 3.5 goals looks a nice angle at even money with Betway. City cruised past Wydad AC 2-0 in their opener, while Al Ain were thrashed 5-0 by Juventus.
Nico O’Reilly 1+ foul committed & Jeremy Doku 3+ Fouls Won (5/1 with Betfair)
Manchester City gave away 10 fouls in their group opener against Wydad, wth Nico O’Reilly committing one of those. The left-back has now conceded at least one foul in eight of his last nine starts for the club and can clear this line again on Sunday.
Paired with O’Reilly to give away a foul is Jeremy Doku to win three or more fouls. The Belgian has recorded fouls won figures of 3,4,6 on his last three outings for club and country and I’m surprised to see him priced as big as he is against Al Ain.

How both teams go into Man City vs Al Ain
Man City began their Club World Cup campaign against Moroccan outfit Wydad AC, while Al Ain entertained Juventus. If those opening contests follow form, then City will be looking to maintain their 100% start, while Al Ain seek their first points. However, football isn’t played on paper, and there’s every chance roles could be reversed, or both sides will be looking to get on the board. This will be City’s second Club World Cup appearance, having previously won on debut in 2023, defeating the South American champions, Fluminense, in the final. This will also be Al Ain’s second appearance, having also reached the final on debut, but the United Arab Emirates club were humbled by Real Madrid, who ran out 4-1 winners in the 2018 edition.
Man City team news
Rico Lewis is banned after his late dismissal in the win over Wydad Casablanca. Mateo Kovacic and Jack Grealish miss out, while Pep Guardiola may make changes to his XI, with Erling Haaland, Rodri and Rayan Ait-Nouri potentially starting here.
Al Ain team news
Al Ain are expected to name an unchanged line-up after their match with Juventus, with no fresh injury concerns.
Man City vs Al Ain head to head
Both teams have never met before, with this being Man City’s second meeting with an Asian club, having previously defeated Urawa Red Diamonds of Japan 3-0 in the 2023 Club World Cup semi-finals. Al Ain’s first showdown with a European club will take place on matchday one of the 2025 Club World Cup, when they face Juventus.
