Liverpool go into Gameweek 3 of the Champions League sat 17th in the standings, after one win and one defeat in their opening two matches.
They now travel to Germany on Wednesday (20:00 kick-off – live on TNT Sports 1) to face an Eintracht Frankfurt side who are also on three points after their first two games in Europe’s top club competition.
Liverpool predicted lineup vs Frankfurt
Predicted Liverpool XI (4-2-3-1): Mamardashvili; Frimpong, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Szoboszlai, Mac Allister; Gakpo, Wirtz, Salah; Ekitike.
The Reds have lost their last four in all competitions, with Arne Slot searching for the solution for what has been a concerning dip in form for the Premier League champions.
The last time Liverpool lost four matches in a row was back in November 2014, under Brendan Rodgers, and all eyes are on Slot to find an answer to this current slump.
Liverpool team news vs Frankfurt
Arne Slot has said Alisson Becker might be back in action before the end of October, but Wednesday’s match will come too soon for the Brazilian shot-stopper.
That means Giorgi Mamardashvili will continue between the posts and he’s likely to have a changed back-four in front of him.
Former Bundesliga star Jeremie Frimpong could be given a start in Frankfurt, while Andy Robertson is another possible addition at left-back.
Ryan Gravenberch is a doubt after suffering an injury in the second half of the defeat to Manchester United and the Dutchman is expected to sit out the Game Week 3 clash.
Gravenberch’s likely absence could see Florian Wirtz handed a start in his homeland, as he seeks his first goal in a Liverpool shirt.
There could also be a change up front, with Alexander Isak still short of match fitness and Hugo Ekitike looking set to face his former club.

Ekitike has a point to prove
After bringing in five big names in the close season, Ekitike is the only new face to have had an impact at Anfield.
Some pundits have expressed a concern over the impact of Isak’s arrival on the Frenchman, who has scored three goals in seven appearances since moving from Frankfurt.
Ekitike got less than half-an-hour against Manchester United, but looked lively and offered something different when he entered the fray.
The 23-year-old will feel like he has a point to prove to Slot and what better venue to do that than the Waldstadion.
Ekitike scored 19 goals in 47 appearances for Frankfurt and played a big role in helping Dino Toppmoller’s men qualify for this season’s Champions League.
