Juventus and Manchester City will aim to improve their position in the Champions League table when they meet in Turin on Wednesday 11th December evening at 20:00, live on TNT Sports 2.

Juventus vs Man City Predicted XIs

Juventus (4-2-3-1): Perin; Savona, Kalulu, Gatti, Danilo; Locatelli, Thuram; Conceicao, Koopmeiners, Weah; Vlahovic.

Man City (3-2-4-1): Ortega; Walker, Dias, Gvardiol, Lewis; Gundogan; Savinho, De Bruyne, Silva, Nunes; Haaland.

The two sides have collected eight points apiece from their opening five games, so they have work to do to finish in the top eight.

Juventus come into Wednesday’s game on the back of a 2-2 draw against Bologna, while City were also held to a 2-2 draw by Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Premier League champions look vulnerable

Manchester City’s 3-0 win in midweek against Nottingham Forest restored confidence and faith that they could soon mount a challenge for the title.

Pep Guardiola’s side proved a class above Forest on home soil, but instead of building on that result, City were unable to push on and picked up a point against Palace.

The reigning Premier League champions are now in uncharted waters, winning just one of their last nine matches in all competitions. The Citizens have lost six of those nine contests and confidence is bound to be low in the dressing room.

City are now eight points behind Liverpool in the title race, but the Reds have a game in hand over their rivals.

Guardiola’s team are 17th in the Champions League table heading into Matchday Six, with Juventus just two places behind them.

Fanbases of both clubs will have expected better before a ball was kicked this season, but they both have three games each to turn their fortunes around, starting with Wednesday’s contest at Allianz Stadium.

Juventus vs Man City Team News

Juventus boss Thiago Motta recently welcomed striker Dusan Vlahovic back from injury after three weeks on the sidelines with a thigh injury.

Vlahovic started in the 2-2 draw against Bologna, while Nicolo Savona came off the bench after recovering from an injury of his own.

Savona is competing with Danilo for a spot at right-back, but Nico Gonzalez, Weston McKennie and Douglas Luiz remain sidelined.

Juan Cabal and Bremer are still in the treatment room with ACL injuries, while Andrea Cambiaso is expected to miss out with an ankle issue.

City midfielder Phil Foden has missed the last two games through illness, but he is hoping to return and at least take up a place on the bench.

Defenders Nathan Ake and Manuel Akanji suffered injuries in the recent win over Forest, joining John Stones and Mateo Kovacic on the sidelines, while Rodri and Oscar Bobb remain long-term absentees.
