Brighton vs West Ham predictions, odds, betting tips and team news

Brighton and West Ham lock horns in the Premier League on Saturday, April 26th, at 3pm (UK time). The match will not be broadcast live in the United Kingdom, however we’ve previewed the action and provided you with our best data-driven betting tips.
Jan Paul van Hecke 1+ Fouls Won (10/11 with Paddy Power)
Paired with Wissa to Score is Jan Paul van Hecke to be fouled one or more times in the match. Brighton centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke has been fouled 11 times in his last six league matches. His foul-won totals in that period read 3, 2, 2, 2, 1, 1, and he well looks overpriced to continue that streak against West Ham. The Hammers have several players who can accumulate fouls, such as Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus.
After van Hecke was fouled three times last weekend and with the 1+ line at just under even money, I make this one of my best bets on Saturday.
West Ham to Win & BTTS (15/2 with bet365)
All is not well at Brighton and there were chants of ‘you don’t know what you’re doing’ from the fans last weekend as they were beaten 4-2 on the road at Brentford. The Seagulls owner, Tony Bloom was in the away end for that game, and after having the highest net spend of any team in the league this season, he will not be happy with the way the season is petering out.
Brighton are winless in their last five league outings (D2 L3), and although West Ham are in equally uninspiring form, I simply cannot be going anywhere near the hosts, who are priced incredibly short at just 8/13 to win the match. West Ham put in a strong showing on the road at Liverpool two weeks ago and were unlucky not to take a point. At 15/2, they look worth a few quid in the Win and Both Teams to Score market here.

How both teams go into Brighton vs West Ham
Just when they looked on the cusp of challenging for a Champions League spot, Brighton have fallen away, taking just two points from their last five matches. Two weeks ago the Seagulls twice threw away a lead to draw 2-2 at home to a Leicester side that had lost their previous eight Premier League matches without scoring a goal. They were then beaten by Brentford, who hadn’t won at home this calendar year, and have now slipped to tenth as a result.
Things are not much better for West Ham, who, after a brief upturn with wins and clean sheets against Arsenal and Leicester, have now taken just two points from their last five games. The Hammers have slipped to 17th following a 2-1 defeat away at runaway leaders Liverpool and a disappointing 1-1 home draw with Southampton. Luckily, West Ham are 15 points clear of Ipswich in 18th, with the bottom three entirely cut adrift ahead of the last five games.
Brighton team news
Adam Webster, Joel Veltman, Georginio Rutter, Igor, Jason Steele and Tariq Lamptey all make up a lengthy injury list for Brighton. Ferdi Kadioglu and James Milner are nearing a return, while João Pedro is suspended.
West Ham team news
Crysensio Summerville, Aaron Creswell and Michail Antonio will all miss this match through injury. Evan Ferguson is ineligible to face his parent club.
Brighton vs West Ham head-to-head
West Ham are unbeaten in their last three matches against Brighton, although the last two have ended all square. That follows a run of three straight wins for Brighton in this fixture.
