Bosnia-Herzegovina face Qatar in their final Group B fixture at the 2026 World Cup. Kick-off is 8pm (UK time) on Wednesday 24th June at Seattle Stadium, and should be a pivotal one as both sides have a chance of qualifying for the knockout phase with a win.
Bosnia-Herzegovina vs Qatar confirmed lineups
Bosnia-Herzegovina (4-4-2): Sehic; Radeljic, Katic, Malic, Kolasinac; Bajraktarevic, Sunjic, Pjanic; Dedic; Dzeko, Demorivoc.
Qatar (4-3-3): Abunada; Miguel, Khoukhi, Laye, Al Brake; Boudiaf, Fathi, Gaber; Edmilson Jr, Afif, Al Haydos
Sergej Barbarez’s Bosnia and Herzegovina side head into the contest with one point from their opening two matches. After earning a respectable draw against Canada, they suffered a disappointing 4-1 defeat to Switzerland despite showing flashes of attacking quality. Defensive errors have ultimately proved costly, and Bosnia and Herzegovina now require their first win of the tournament to keep their World Cup dream alive.
Qatar also enter their final group-stage fixture without a victory and under significant pressure. Julian Lopetegui’s men have struggled against stronger opposition throughout the competition, culminating in a heavy 6-0 defeat to Canada last time out. The Gulf nation finished that match with nine men after two red cards and now need a dramatic improvement if they are to secure a first-ever win at this World Cup. Like their opponents, Qatar know three points could potentially be enough to send them into the Round of 32.
Interestingly, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Qatar have never previously met in a competitive senior international fixture. Wednesday’s showdown in Seattle will therefore be the first competitive meeting between the two nations and their first-ever encounter at a FIFA World Cup.

Bosnia-Herzegovina team news
The Dragons are expected to rotate slightly after just one point from their opening two matches, though the core of the side should remain intact for their final group game. Ibrahim Sehic is set to continue in goal behind a back four that will be focused on tightening up after failing to keep a clean sheet in both matches so far.
Sead Kolasinac is expected to start at left-back, with Dennis Hadzikadunic and Ermin Bicakcic likely to continue in central defence. The right-back spot could see a change, with Amir Hadziahmetovic an option if Petev opts for greater balance.
In midfield, Amer Gojak and Benjamin Tahirovic are expected to provide energy and defensive cover, while Miralem Pjanic operates in a deeper creative role, looking to dictate tempo and supply the forwards.
Up front, Edin Dzeko will spearhead the attack, supported by Amar Dedic and Haris Duljevic in wider areas, both of whom offer direct running and work rate in transition.

Qatar team news
Julen Lopetegui is expected to make enforced changes after a difficult second group game that saw both Homam Ahmed and Assim Madibo sent off, leaving Qatar with additional selection headaches in midfield. Saad Al Sheeb is set to continue in goal behind a back line that has been heavily tested throughout the tournament.
Pedro Miguel and Bassam Al Rawi are expected to remain in central defence, with Qatar likely forced into a more conservative structure in midfield due to suspensions. Akram Afif will once again be central to their attacking threat, operating in a free role between the lines, while Almoez Ali leads the line as the focal point of the attack.
