Barcelona put a flawless nine-win La Liga start on the line when Real Madrid visit Camp Nou at 8pm (UK time) on Sunday for the season’s first Clasico.
Anthony Eadson’s Barcelona vs Real Madrid predictions, best bets and score prediction are below.
Premium Tips
This is the fixture every neutral circles, and with the headline markets tight, we have gone hunting for value in our two best Clasico bets.
| Premium Tip | Odds | Why we’re backing it |
|---|---|---|
| Raphinha to score anytime | 20/23 (Ladbrokes) | Raphinha has been central to everything good about Barcelona’s flawless start, and even at odds-on he looks the standout scorer play, with 12 La Liga goals in eight appearances. Barcelona have rattled in 39 goals across their nine league wins, and the Brazilian is heavily involved from the right. Real Madrid, for all their quality, have leaked six goals in four away league games this season, so the openings should be there. Camp Nou has been a fortress too, with Barcelona scoring 17 in four home outings. Back Raphinha to find the net anytime at 20/23 with Ladbrokes. |
| Anthony Gordon to assist | 16/5 (Ladbrokes) | Anthony Gordon has four La Liga assists this season, second only to Lamine Yamal in this Barcelona side, and he has a goal of his own too. Barcelona have scored 39 goals in nine league wins and 17 in four home games, so the chances will flow. Real Madrid have conceded six in four away league games, and Gordon’s running in behind should cause problems. At 16/5 with Ladbrokes, Gordon to register an assist is a bigger price than his output deserves. |

How Barcelona go into the game
Barcelona could hardly be in better shape. They have won all nine of their La Liga matches, scoring 39 goals and conceding just nine, to sit top of the table on 27 points for a genuinely flawless start. Barcelona were beaten 4-2 by PSG in the Champions League in midweek, but their La Liga form is spotless, with a 5-2 win at Real Betis following victories over Getafe (3-0) at home and Sevilla (3-1) away.
Camp Nou has been a stronghold. Barcelona have won all four of their home league games, racking up 17 goals in the process and looking dangerous at every turn. Before this, a 7-2 thrashing of Racing de Santander and a 4-2 win at Levante underlined the sheer firepower we are dealing with. This is an attack scoring at will, and Real Madrid will need to be at their very best to keep it quiet.
How Real Madrid go into the game
Real Madrid arrive third on 21 points from their nine games, having won seven and lost two. At home they have been excellent, and they roll into the Clasico on a four-game winning run in all competitions, most recently beating RB Leipzig 4-1 in the Champions League after a 4-1 league win over Sevilla. The concern lies elsewhere.
Away from home, Real Madrid have been far shakier, winning just two of four on the road and losing the other two while conceding six goals. Their last away league game brought a 2-1 defeat at Atletico Madrid, having earlier edged Elche 3-2 on their travels. That away record, set against Barcelona’s home form, sits at the heart of the case for the hosts.

| 26/10/24 | Real Madrid | 0-4 | Barcelona |
| 21/04/24 | Real Madrid | 3-2 | Barcelona |
These two have served up goals and drama in recent years. Barcelona hold the edge in the last five league meetings, winning three to Real Madrid’s two, with three of those Clasicos producing at least four goals. Here is how the last five La Liga meetings have gone.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid score prediction
Everything points to a Barcelona win. They are unbeaten in La Liga, scoring freely and formidable at Camp Nou, while Real Madrid have shown away cracks that a rampant home side should exploit. We expect Real Madrid to carry enough threat to score, as they usually do, but not enough to halt Barcelona’s perfect run. Raphinha and the Barcelona front line should simply have too much, and we are backing the hosts to come through a typically open Clasico in style. Score prediction: Barcelona 3-1 Real Madrid.
