Most assists: La Liga 2021/22 final standings
Although it doesn’t quite match the feeling of scoring a goal, providing an assist is one of the most satisfying things a footballer can achieve on the pitch.
Whether it’s splitting the defence in two with a piercing through-ball or whipping in a cross for a runner at the near post, the guy setting up a chance is just as important as the one adding the finishing touch.
In La Liga this season, Ousmane Dembele led the way for assists. The Frenchman recorded 13, just one ahead of Karim Benzema — they were ultimately two of six players to hit double figures.
Jordi Alba and Vinicius Junior were pushing the pair close for a while with ten assists, while Iker Muniain and Dani Parejo also put their names in the mix.
