La Liga assists: final 2019/20 standings and other major stats leaders
The battle to become the 2019/20 La Liga season’s assist king in La Liga was little more than a procession.
Barcelona captain and supreme playmaker Lionel Messi was one of just two players to reach double figures and the Argentine blew the competition out of the water by creating a total of 21 goals.
The Argentinian’s nearest challenger in La Liga came from Real Sociedad in the form of Mikel Oyarzabal, who was 10 adrift of Messi’s outstanding total, while veteran Santi Cazorla sealed third place with a total of nine.
