EAFC 26 is almost upon us.
Previously known as FIFA, the game has been around for a long time. But one thing has stayed the same throughout. Pace is king.
Just look at Harry Kane. The Englishman is one of the best strikers in the world, but no one will use his card on Ultimate Team past the first few weeks because of his 64 Pace. And he’ll only be in teams in the early stages because of his high rating and Shooting.
There are 21 players with a starting Pace of at least 94, including some familiar names. Let’s take a look at them.
The list below does not include ICONs, Heroes or any other special cards that might have got upgrades. Only base cards that would also be available in other parts of the game, but with a focus on their Ultimate Team stats.
=9. Inaki Williams
- Club: Athletic Bilbao
- Pace: 94
Normally as players age, they see a downgrade to their speed on EAFC. But Inaki Williams still boasts Pace of 94 at the age of 31. We’re not saying that’s over the hill, by the way! He’s had 94 Pace for the past seven editions of the game. But Inaki does get the bragging rights over younger brother Nico, whose Pace is a terrible 93.
=9. Nishan Velupillay
- Club: Melbourne Victory
- Pace: 94
Nishan Velupillay has enjoyed an upgrade from EAFC 25, rising in overall from 64 to 65 — becoming a Silver card in the process. With that upgrade comes an boost in Pace from 92 to 94, his highest stat by some distance.
=9. Milan van Ewijk
- Club: Coventry
- Pace: 94
Milan van Ewijk is the fastest player in the Championship this season, boasting a Pace of 94. It’s an upgrade of two from EAFC 25, though he hasn’t seen a rise in his overall.
=9. Mitchell van Bergen
- Club: Sparta Rotterdam
- Pace: 94
Now this is a big upgrade. Despite keeping his overall of 69, Mitchell van Bergen has seen his Pace jump from 88 to 94 for EAFC 26. Alongside his 70 Dribbling, Van Bergen might be one to look to for silver-themed events.
=9. Adama Traore
- Club: Fulham
- Pace: 94
You may think “of course”, but Adama Traore wasn’t on this list last year. He was a lowly 93 on Pace, missing out on the top table. But all has been fixed this year, with Traore enjoying a mini boost to 94.
=9. Ernest Poku
- Club: Bayer Leverkusen
- Pace: 94
Ernest Poku earned himself a big move in the summer, switching AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie for Bayer Leverkusen of the Bundesliga. With that has come a +3 in his overall, and a boost to his Pace. That’s taken him from 92 to 94 for Pace, becoming one of the fastest players in the game.
=9. Yankuba Minteh
- Club: Brighton
- Pace: 94
Yankuba Minteh has actually had a downgrade to his Pace, after enjoying a boost last year. The winger went from 88 Pace in EAFC 24 to 95 in EAFC 25. But after a year at Brighton, Minteh’s Pace has dropped slightly to 94 Pace. Maybe there’s something in the water on the south coast.
=9. Rosemonde Kouassi
- Club: Washington Spirit
- Pace: 94
Rosemonde Kouassi has now had 94 Pace for the past three editions of EAFC, enjoying her second season with Washington Spirit. Kouassi has also kept her overall of 80, with 80 Dribbling making her an interesting option.
=9. Daniel James
- Club: Leeds
- Pace: 94
Daniel James is another to have enjoyed a slight boost to their Pace, moving from 93 to 94. The Welshman is back in the Premier League with Leeds United and he forms part of a select trio in the English top flight with 94 Pace.
=9. Jeremie Frimpong
- Club: Liverpool
- Pace: 94
Completing that trio is new Liverpool signing Jeremie Frimpong. And he’s another to have seen a +1 boost to his Pace, taking him from 93 to 94. The Dutchman was a flying wing-back for Bayer Leverkusen, rightfully returning to the Pace he had in EAFC 24.

Alphonso Davies has seen his overall jump back up to 84 from 82 in EAFC 25, returning to his overall from FIFA 23. But the upgrade in overall has actually come with a decrease in his Pace. Davies, also known as the roadrunner by Thomas Muller, will have to settle with just 94 Pace in EAFC 26.
=9. Tabitha Chawinga
- Club: OL Lyonnes
- Pace: 94
Tabitha Chawinga is now in her second season with Lyon, and she’s earned a +1 upgrade on her overall, moving to 85-rated. Chawinga’s Pace of 94 has stayed the same, though, keeping the attribute for another season running.
=9. Jean-Matteo Bahoya
- Club: Eintracht Frankfurt
- Pace: 94
When players are first added to EAFC, it’s hard for their Pace to be right. And it feels like that was the case with Jean-Matteo Bahoya. He was 67-rated in EAFC 25 and had 76 Pace for Eintracht Frankfurt. Now, he’s 75-rated and has 94 Pace, with only eight players faster than him.
=4. Nuno Mendes
- Club: PSG
- Pace: 95
Nuno Mendes has enjoyed a healthy boost in EAFC 26, in terms of overall and Pace. He has jumped up to 86 overall, breaking into the top 100 players in the game. Mendes is even better for Pace too, with his 95 — up from 89 — making him one of the fastest players in EAFC 26.
=4. Lois Openda
- Club: Juventus
- Pace: 95
Lois Openda has suffered a drop in overall for EAFC 26, falling from 85 to 83. But the new Juventus signing has seen a positive change by two on his Pace. The Belgian now boasts 95 Pace, up from his 93 last year.
=4. Moussa Diaby
- Club: Al Ittihad
- Pace: 95
For the second year running, Moussa Diaby’s Pace has stayed the same. The Frenchman was boosted to 95 Pace in EAFC 25, keeping that rating in EAFC 26. And with so many stars in the Saudi league, he’s certainly an intriguing player for Ultimate Team.
=4. Vinicius Jr
- Club: Real Madrid
- Pace: 95
Vinicius Jr’s overall has actually dropped in EAFC 26, decreasing from 90 to 89. But the Brazilian’s Pace of 95 has stayed the same. In fact, Vinicius Jr’s Pace has been 95 since FIFA 21 when he was just an 80-rated player.
=4. Sirlord Conteh
- Club: Heidenheim
- Pace: 95
This is a name you’ll know if you like your pacey strikers. Sirlord Conteh had 93 Pace in EAFC 25, with his 67-rated card. But that was a decrease from his 95 in EAFC 24. Conteh has returned to 95 Pace in EAFC 26, alongside his slight increase in overall to 69.
=2. Gabriel Silva
- Club: Santa Clara
- Pace: 96
Another player with a big boost from their EAFC 25 Pace, most likely due to being largely unknown. Gabriel Silva had 76 Pace as a 70-rated player for Santa Clara last year. Now he’s 74-rated, with a boosted Pace of 96. That’s a pretty-easy-to-work-out rise of 20!
=2. Karim Adeyemi
- Club: Borussia Dortmund
- Pace: 96
Once again, Karim Adeyemi is the second-fastest player in the game. It’s a position he has held now for the third EAFC running, even if it is shared this time. The German has also enjoyed a boost to his overall, now at 81-rated to go alongside his 96 Pace.
1. Kylian Mbappe
- Club: Real Madrid
- Pace: 97
It wasn’t going to be anyone else. Kylian Mbappe has 97 Pace for the fifth edition of the game in a row, since getting an upgrade in FIFA 22. And even then it was an upgrade of just one, with Mbappe boasting 96 Pace from FIFA 19 to FIFA 21. How many players will actually get to play with Mbappe in EAFC 26 Ultimate Team, though?
