History was made in the Premier League over the weekend as the youngest goalscorer record was broken after Arsenal surged ever closer to the title.
Manchester City dropped pivotal points in said title race, we also witnessed a Bruno Fernandes assist show, Tottenham picked up their first point in seemingly forever, and set-piece specialist Dominik Szoboszlai fire in another corker.
Read on for our pick of the stats from an eventful gameweek 30.
Stats you might have missed
Dazzling Dowman makes history
- Max Dowman became the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history at 16 years and 73 days.
Arsenal scored two late goals to record a dramatic 2-0 win at home to Everton, which shot the Gunners nine points clear at the summit.
The game saw substitute Max Dowman made history as he became the youngest scorer in Premier League history (16 years and 73 days), overtaking Everton’s James Vaughan (16y 270d). Dowman’s injury-time goal means there’s now been a Premier League goalscorer born in every year of the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, while this season is only the second in Premier League history to witness two 16-year-olds on the scoresheet (Dowman and Liverpool’s Rio Ngumoha) after Wayne Rooney and James Milner in the 2002-03 campaign.
On a side note, Arsenal have now won more points in 2025-26 (70) than Tottenham have across the last two seasons (68) combined.

The Bruno Show
- Bruno Fernandes has the most assists (16) of any Manchester United player in a single Premier League season, surpassing David Beckham (15).
Manchester United have won more points than any other side in the Premier League since Michael Carrick took charge (22). The 3-1 win against Aston Villa saw the Englishman become only the fourth manager to win his first six Premier League home games after Sven-Göran Eriksson, Carlo Ancelotti, and Manuel Pellegrini.
Bruno Fernandes’ was once again at the heart of everything as his brace of assists saw him leapfrog David Beckham as United’s highest assister in a single Premier League season with 16.
The United skipper, who now has 100 assists in all competitions for club, now needs four more assists from United’s remaining eight games to equal the record for most assists in a Premier League season with 20 (set by both Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne).
Meanwhile, Fernandes’ assist for Casemiro’s opener was the fifth time he’s set up the Brazilian this season, which is the highest assist-goalscorer combo in the top-flight.

Liverpool’s free-kick King
- Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai has scored a quarter (4) of the 16 direct free-kick goals in the Premier League this season.
Dominik Szoboszlai propelled his 2025-26 free-kick tally to four goals after he scored the opener in Liverpool’s 1-1 draw at home to Tottenham. The Hungarian set-piece specialist has now scored a quarter of the 16 free-kick goals scored in the Premier League so far this term, while he now holds the record for the most direct free kick goals scored by a Liverpool player in a Premier League season: Only David Beckham (2000-01) and Laurent Robert (2001-02) have scored more in Premier League campaign (both 5).
However, Tottenham’s last-gasp equaliser at Anfield means that Liverpool have now conceded a whopping eight goals in the 90th minute or later this season, which is the club’s most in a single Premier League season.
Richarlison’s goal saw him become the first visiting player to score two 90th minute goals at Anfield in the Premier League era.

Magpies’ milestone
- Newcastle became only the fourth non-London club to win 50 Premier League matches in the capital after Manchester United (81), Liverpool (79), and Manchester City (64).
In the Premier League era, Chelsea and Newcastle United have met in every season except the three campaigns the Magpies spent outside the top-flight in the Championship/old Division One. Despite the regular meetings, Newcastle had managed just a single Premier League win at Stamford Bridge prior to the weekend – a victory that dated back to 2012.
That changed thanks to a first-half strike from Anthony Gordon, which secured only Newcastle’s second-ever Premier League win at the Bridge. The result also saw the Magpies become just the fourth non-London side to record 50 Premier League wins in the capital, joining Manchester United (81), Liverpool (79), and Manchester City (64).

Sub-par City
- Man City have scored the fewest goals from substitutes in the Premier League this season (1).
Man City fluffed their lines once again after they dropped valuable points in the 1-1 draw away to West Ham, which leaves the club nine points adrift of Arsenal.
While Arsenal’s substitutes bench has come in handy in pivotal parts of the season, with 11 of their goals scored by players coming off the bench, City have alarmingly still only scored one goal from a substitute, which is the lowest tally in the league.

Leeds’ red card resilience
- Leeds became the only team on record (since 2003-04) to have a player sent off in the first half and not concede a single shot on target in the same Premier League match.
Crystal Palace and Leeds played out a goalless draw at Selhurst Park in a game which saw Dominic Calvert-Lewin miss a 43rd-minute penalty before teammate Gabriel Gudmundsson was sent off just minutes later.
Despite being reduced to 10 men, Leeds held on for what could prove to be a valuable point in their battle for survival. Daniel Farke’s side also made history, becoming the only team on record (since 2003-04) to have a player sent off in the first half and still not concede a single shot on target in the same Premier League match.

Cherries keep run alive
- Bournemouth hold the current longest unbeaten Premier League run, having gone 10 games unbeaten.
Bournemouth may feel like they missed the chance to take all three points against a struggling Burnley side after the teams played out a goalless draw. However, the Cherries did at least extend their unbeaten run to 10 matches, the longest active streak in the top flight.
Andoni Iraola’s side have gone 10 games without defeat (W4 D6) since a 3-2 defeat to Arsenal in their first match of 2026, a run that includes 3-2 victories over Liverpool and Tottenham. Ironically, the streak follows a difficult spell in which Bournemouth went 11 league matches without a win.

Seagulls’ streak continues
- Brighton are unbeaten in each of their last 12 matches against promoted sides.
Brighton made it three wins in four and condemned Sunderland to their third straight Premier League home to defeat – for the first time since 2016 – as the Seagulls returned south with a narrow 1-0 win.
Brighton have now extended their unbeaten streak against newly promoted sides to 12 matches, including six wins, and have kept a clean sheet in six of the last seven such encounters.

City Ground gloom
- Nottingham Forest are now seven Premier League home games without a win for the first time since 1999.
Nottingham Forest missed out on the opportunity to claim a crucial win after they played out a goalless draw at home to Fulham, in which Dan Ndoye had a goal ruled out by the finest of margins.
While Forest may have climbed back out of the relegation zone on goal difference, alarm bells will be ringing after they extended their unwanted run to seven Premier League home games without a win, which is their worst top-flight barren patch at home this century.
Bees in the box
Brentford and Wolves shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw at the Gtech Community Stadium on Monday night. The Bees raced into a two-goal lead that looked set to boost their outside Champions League ambitions, but bottom-placed Wolves mounted a spirited comeback to snatch a point.
Both of Brentford’s goals came from inside the penalty area, meaning 45 of their 46 Premier League goals this season (97.83%) have now been scored inside the box. They have also netted just once from distance: the joint-lowest tally in the league alongside Crystal Palace.
