FIFA 22 fastest players

As always, EA Sports had been preparing for the October release by drip-feeding fans player ratings, with the Top 1,000 (yes, ONE THOUSAND) revealed.

All the information which came with that allowed players to start building their Ultimate Team squads in their head, and now – a couple of weeks after the realise date; for real.

Those choices are sometimes influenced simply by how fast a player is — whether people like it or not, Pace is very important in FIFA. But who are the fastest players on FIFA 22 not including ICONs and other Ultimate Team special cards?? We’ve taken a look at those with 94+ Pace below.

=7. Moussa Diaby

Club: Bayer Leverkusen
Pace: 94

Kicking off the 94+ Pace guys is Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby, who was a star in the early stages of the 2020/21 Bundesliga campaign. The Frenchman has kept his overall rating of 81 from FIFA 21 but there has been a boost to his Pace, raising it by +1 to 94 (to add to a +1 boost to his Dribbling).

=7. Chidera Ejuke

Club: CSKA Moscow
Pace: 94

There was a time when CSKA Moscow were a must-use in Kick Off mode, boasting the likes of Seydou Doumbia and Ahmed Musa. But now, in FIFA 22, they have Nigerian winger Chidera Ejuke to cause the problems with his Pace of 94.

=7. Sebastian Villa

Club: Boca Juniors
Pace: 94

EA Sports now have the official licence for Boca Juniors so their players won’t be stuck among the Conmebol cards. Sebastian Villa is among the Boca Juniors players now given a non-rare Gold card, and the RM has kept his pace of 94 from FIFA 21 as well as a +1 boost to his overall rating (taking him to 76).

=7. Inaki Williams

Club: Athletic Bilbao
Pace: 94

Mr. Reliable for Athletic Bilbao has not missed a game in forever and his speed is just one of the killer attributes to his game. And it’s the same case in FIFA 22 with Iñaki Williams keeping his Pace of 94 from the previous edition – though his 79 Shooting may be less desirable as a striker.

=7. Frank Acheampong

Club: Shenzhen FC
Pace: 94

European football fans may remember Frank Acheampong from his four-year spell with Anderlecht, but the 27-year-old is now plying his trade in China, most recently joining Shenzhen FC. The Ghanaian has had a little bit of a change from FIFA 21, being pushed out to LW from ST and also getting an upgrade on his overall to 77. But his Pace of 94 has remained the same.

=7. Rafa

Club: Benfica
Pace: 94

If you have played Ultimate Team at all over the past few years and opened packs, there’s a high chance you’ll have received (and got fed up with) Benfica midfielder Rafa. Although the Primeira Liga isn’t a popular league that players use to build their squads around, the Portuguese midfielder is certainly an interesting player with 94 Pace, keeping his level from FIFA 22.

=7. Takeshi Kanamori

Club: Avispa Fukuoka
Pace: 94

Another player to have a little bit of a boost from FIFA 21 is Japanese forward Takeshi Kanamori. Last season he was a striker with 93 Pace, but that has changed for FIFA 22, with Kanamori now a RM with 94 Pace. His overall has changed by +2 too, rising to 64.

=7. Tom Barkhuizen

Club: Preston North End
Pace: 94

The fastest Englishman in FIFA 22 is not Kyle Walker. It’s not even Raheem Sterling. It’s Preston North End midfielder Tom Barkuizen. The 28-year-old has decreased in overall rating for the second year in a row but keeps his Pace of 94.

=7. Rhayner

Club: Sanfrecce Hiroshima
Pace: 94

Rhayner will be a name not too many know, but the Brazilian is here amongst the fastest players in FIFA 22. Interestingly, Rhayner has seen his overall drop from 70 to 69 over the past year but his Pace has increased by +1 to 94. Not that we’ll be complaining.

=7. Linton Maina

Club: Hannover
Pace: 94

Another player seeing their Pace increase despite an overall drop is Linton Maina of Hannover. The German midfielder was 72-rated with FIFA 21 with his Pace attribute standing at just 89 – not even in the 90s! But now, in FIFA 22, Maina is 70-rated overall but has Pace of 94. We’re not sure how that came into play, but he may be an option for those looking to build a German Silver team.

=7. Georges-Kevin Nkoudou

Club: Besiktas
Pace: 94

For some players in FIFA 21, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou was a good early option in Ultimate Team, as he had the potential to link with any of the French stars despite playing in an unpopular league. That is likely to be the case once again but to make things even better, he has seen his Pace boosted by +1 to 94.

=7. Ismaila Sarr

Club: Watford
Pace: 94

Back in the Premier League after helping Watford win promotion from the Championship, Ismaila Sarr has kept his standout Pace of 94 from FIFA 21 and his overall rating of 78. Not the highest-rated player, but Sarr may be of use in the early stages of FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.

=7. Gerrit Holtmann

Club: Bochum
Pace: 94

Bochum are in the Bundesliga once again following promotion and, naturally, some of their players have seen a rise in their overall. Gerrit Holtmann is one of those players, increasing from 69 to 72 as a LM Silver card. But the biggest change for Holtmann (not including his nation switching from Germany to the Philippines) is his Pace, which has taken a massive boost from 89 to 94!

=3. Vinicius Jr

Club: Real Madrid
Pace: 95

Moving onto the big numbers, Vinicius Jr has enjoyed an excellent start to the 2021/22 season with Real Madrid and although his overall on FIFA has remained at 80 from 21 to 22, the Brazilian will remain a good player to use. That’s because he has also kept his Pace of 95, with only two players faster than him so far.

=3. Achraf Hakimi

Club: Paris Saint-Germain
Pace: 95

Achraf Hakimi was one of the hot properties of the summer, with Paris Saint-Germain winning the race for his signature and having him as the first part of their frankly terrifying flank duo alongside Lionel Messi. After an excellent season with Inter Milan, Hakimi has seen his overall rise by +2 to 85 and his Pace has also increased to 95 — getting back to the level it was in FIFA 20 after a drop of one.

=3. Daniel James

Club: Leeds United
Pace: 95

Daniel James may not be a world beater, having struggled at Manchester United before making the move to Leeds United, but he remains a threat. His biggest attribute right now is his speed, and that is mirrored in FIFA 22, with a Pace of 95.

=2. Alphonso Davies

Club: Bayern Munich
Pace: 96

Alphonso Davies didn’t have the best of seasons last year as he struggled with injury problems early on, not to mention he had placed the bar so high after his 2019/20 as Bayern won the Treble. However, he remains one of the most talented young full-backs in world football and one of the quickest men. After an increase in his Pace to 96 in FIFA 21 (from 91 in FIFA 20), Davies has kept his speed level for FIFA 22 — though he is no longer the joint-fastest player (excluding Icons).

=2. Adama Traore

Club: Wolves
Pace: 96

Of course he’s here. Adama Traore is becoming something of a cult hero even at his young age, known for his pace and strength, and the fact that he oils his muscles to help get away from defenders. The virtual baby oil will be in use too on FIFA 22, with the Spaniard keeping his 96 Pace from last year despite his overall dropping by one.

1. Kylian Mbappe

Club: Paris Saint-Germain
Pace: 97

Kylian Mbappe is one of the best players in the world and one of the best in FIFA 22, with his overall of 91 bettered only by Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski. Where the Frenchman is unrivalled, however, is his speed as Mbappe has had an increase of +1 to take his Pace to 97 for FIFA 22 – higher than any other non-special card. But Mbappe is almost-guaranteed to get In-Form cards in FIFA 22 so it won’t be too long before he has 99 Pace on Ultimate Team.
