Liverpool vs Lille Odds

How both teams go into Liverpool vs Lille

Liverpool have endured a rare blip in the last couple of matches, drawing 2-2 at home to Manchester United before losing 1-0 away at Spurs in the EFL Cup — although the latter was, of course, only the first leg of their semi-final. However, the Reds are top of the Champions League table with a 100% record after six games and just one goal conceded. They’re already assured of a place in the knockout rounds and now it’s just a case of making sure they stay in the top eight.

Lille currently occupy that eighth spot with 13 points on the board. They beat Sturm Graz 3-2 in their last continental match and host Feyenoord after this one, so they’ll still feel quite bullish about their top-eight chances.

Liverpool team news

Joe Gomez will remain sidelined for this match whilst Diogo Jota is unlikely to feature as he continues to struggle with a thigh injury.

Lille team news

Edon Zhegrova, Nabil Bentaleb, Samuel Umtiti and Mathias Fernandez-Pardo will all remain sidelined for this match, but Ethan Mbappe could return to action. Tiago Santos is out for the season.

Liverpool vs Lille head-to-head

The only previous meeting between these sides saw Liverpool win 3-1 on aggregate in the 2009/10 Europa League round of 16. Lille won the first leg 1-0 in France before Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres (x2) fired the Reds to an Anfield comeback.
