Girona vs Arsenal Odds
How both teams go into Girona vs Arsenal
The Spanish side have lost six and won just one of their seven Champions League fixtures so far, sitting 31st in the table and are unable to qualify for the knockout stages. Girona will just be playing for pride when they come up against Arsenal in their final match of this seasons Champions League.
Arsenal have had no such issues. Only Barcelona (18) and Liverpool (21) have bettered their 16 points, with the Gunners bouncing back from their 1-0 defeat to Inter by battering Sporting CP 5-1 before defeating both Monaco and Dinamo Zagreb 3-0. Automatic qualification isn’t 100% assured but is as near as can be for the English side.
Girona team news
Miguel Gutierrez and Cristian Portu are major doubts for this match but Yaser Asprilla, Bryan Gil and Bojan Miovski should be back in action well in advance.
Arsenal team news
Ben White, Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu will be absent, while Jorginho will be back in action. However, we won’t see Bukayo Saka or Ethan Nwaneri until sometime in February. There are doubts over Martin Odegaard and Mikel Merino.
Girona vs Arsenal head-to-head
This will be the first-ever meeting between these two clubs, with Girona having never played in European competition before this season. Arsenal have faced Spanish opposition as recently as last season, however, beating Sevilla 2-1 away and 2-0 at home in the Champions League group stage.
