Eduardo Camavinga: I hope Aurelien Tchouameni comes to Real Madrid
Real Madrid’s teenage sensation Eduardo Camavinga has confessed his desire to see fellow countryman Aurelien Tchouameni join him at the Bernabeu.
The Monaco midfielder has been linked to just about every elite European club worth their salt since rising to prominence in the principality, earning rave reviews for his exploits in the middle of the park.
In the Ligue 1 season just gone, Tchouameni made more interceptions (101) than any other player, the only man to hit triple digits for that particular metric, underlining his appreciation of space and positional awareness — they’re the kind of traits that would flourish in a team hard-wired to dominate the middle third.

It will come as no surprise to see clubs like Real Madrid reportedly in the mix for his signature. The 22-year-old has already earned eights caps for France and is seen as the next big thing to emerge from a nation accustomed to world class midfielders.
There are suggestions the Frenchman is closing in on a move to the Bernabeu which could cost the European champions a sum close to nine figures, and one of the club’s current French midfield stars, Camavinga, has declared his desire for his compatriot to join him in Madrid.
Camavinga told L’Equipe: “It’s fun, that’s for sure! He is a player I have already met in the France team. I hope he will come, I don’t know exactly what it is yet, but I have already spoken with him. We’ll see what happens in the days to come.”
The 19-year-old’s comments come after Tchouameni outlined his admiration for Real, name-dropping the Champions League winners when discussing his future — and even claiming to be a fan of Liverpool just before the Paris final at the weekend.
“I like both [Real Madrid and Liverpool]: I can watch Spanish games and English games,” Tchouameni told CNN last week.
“It’s different to play in Spain and it’s different to play in England, but at the end, for me, it’s just a matter of adaptation.”
