Back Vini to get on the scoresheet
Vinicius Junior made his mark in Brazil’s draw with Morocco, scoring a superb equaliser to open his account at World Cup 2026. The Real Madrid winger looked dangerous throughout, recording five touches inside the opposition box, more than any other player on the pitch. That breakthrough goal should only boost his confidence heading into this clash with Haiti.
Although Vinicius managed just one shot against the Atlas Lions, he showed his quality by converting it. His creativity was not quite at its usual level, but he still delivered when Brazil needed him most. Furthermore, the 25-year-old has registered four goal involvements across his last four appearances for club and country, scoring three times in that run. Having also netted twice in his previous three internationals, Vinicius looks well placed to get on the scoresheet again on Saturday.
Haiti can have their moment
Brazil possess plenty of quality at the back, with Gabriel Magalhaes and Marquinhos among the world’s leading centre-backs. Even so, Carlo Ancelotti’s side have struggled to keep clean sheets of late. They have conceded in each of their last six internationals, shipping eight goals in total during that run. At the other end, Brazil remain a major threat, scoring 14 times across those same matches.
That should give Haiti encouragement heading into this contest. Les Grenadiers have found the net six times in their last five games and will believe they can trouble a defence that has looked vulnerable in recent months. Furthermore, Panama scored twice against Brazil in a recent friendly, highlighting an area opponents can exploit. Haiti may struggle to score more than once, but the value in the both teams to score market still makes plenty of appeal.
