Group G favourites Belgium finished top of the group on five points, just ahead of Egypt on goal difference, while Iran face an anxious wait to see if they have made it through to the 2026 World Cup knockout stages as a best third-place finisher.
Egypt will be especially pleased after they not only picked up their first ever World Cup win, but went unbeaten to create more history by progressing through to the knockout stages for the first time ever.
As for New Zealand, they will be heading home after finishing bottom of the group.

World Cup 2026 Group G Results
Belgium fought back from 1-0 down to claim a draw with Egypt in an extremely competitive contest in Seattle on 15th June.
New Zealand and Iran were the other two teams going at it in Group G, with a high-intensity back-and-forth game ending 2-2.
Belgium and Iran then. played out a goalless draw, while Egypt came from behind to beat New Zealand 3-1 to claim their first ever World Cup win.
Belgium regrouped to thrash the All Whites 5-1, whereas Egypt and Iran played out a thrilling 1-1 draw, in which the Iranians were denied a last-gasp winner by VAR.
