Premier League stats and records you might see in Gameweek 34

There’s a slightly reduced gameweek 34 this weekend due to the FA Cup semi-finals, but there are still seven Premier League matches to tuck into.

Arsenal will be aiming to move back to the top of the table by opening up a three-point gap over Manchester City in the title race, while all eyes will be on Molineux to see whether Tottenham can finally secure their first league win of the year when they travel to already-relegated Wolves.

Read on for the best of the potential stats:

Forest finding form

  • If Nottingham Forest win they will have more wins (3) in their last 4 games than their previous 14 (2).

Sunderland and Nottingham Forest get this weekend’s action underway on Friday night when they clash at the Stadium of Light in the Premier League for the first time ever.

Forest are chasing back-to-back league victories for the first time since November 2025 as they look to move eight points clear of the relegation zone. A win would take their tally to three victories in their last four top-flight matches, having managed just two wins across the previous 14 before this upturn in form.

Meanwhile, Sunderland are looking to claim a Premier League win on a Friday for the first time. If they do so, they will become the 21st club to win on all seven days of the week in the competition.

Nottingham Forest's key players in their recent run toward safety

Watkins’ spike

  • If Ollie Watkins scores against Fulham he will have the same amount of goals (8) in his last nine games for Aston Villa in all competitions, as his previous 39.

Aston Villa are enjoying a superb run of five wins and a draw from their last six games in all competitions. Boss Unai Emery heads into Saturday’s clash away to Fulham looking to extend his 100% winning run against the Cottagers to nine wins from nine Premier League matches: only Pep Guardiola has a better 100% record against an opponent in the Premier League (12/12 vs Fulham and 10/10 vs Watford).

Keep an eye on Aston Villa’s in-form Ollie Watkins who has six goals in his last five games in all competitions. The striker has six goals in nine Premier League appearances against Saturday’s opponents Fulham; only scoring more against Brighton (9) and Arsenal (7).

If he scores this weekend he will have the same amount of goals (8) in his last nine games for Villa in all competitions, as his previous 39.

Eagles eye Liverpool Quadruple

  • Crystal Palace are looking to beat Liverpool for the fourth time this season, having already overcome the Reds in the Premier League, Carabao Cup, and Community Shield.

Crystal Palace have already enjoyed remarkable success against Liverpool this season, beating them three times across the Premier League, Carabao Cup, and Community Shield (on penalties). This includes a superb 3-0 win at Anfield in the Carabao Cup meaning they now have the opportunity to become the first side since Arsenal (2006-07) to defeat the Reds twice at Anfield in the same season.

Ismaila Sarr is one to watch in particular, having already scored four goals against Liverpool in all competitions this season, while the winger also found the back of the net at Anfield last term.

As for the hosts, Mo Salah (33 years and 314 days) could become the oldest player to score in four successive Premier League starts since Cristiano Ronaldo (37 years, 86 days in May 2022). The Egyptian also only needs one more assist to become Liverpool’s all-time assister in the Premier League, surpassing Steven Gerrard’s tally of 92.

Return of the Moyes

  • David Moyes could become only the fourth manager to win away at two former clubs in the same Premier League season after Harry Redknapp, Roy Hodgson, and Nuno Espírito Santo.

Everton will be gutted at the manner of their last-gasp defeat at home to Liverpool in the Merseyside derby, but they have the opportunity to bounce back on the road, where they’ve accumulated 25 points this season – the third most behind Arsenal and Manchester City.

David Moyes has already secured an away win against one of his former clubs this campaign, beating Manchester United. If he can repeat the feat at West Ham, another of his old sides, he would become only the fourth manager in Premier League history to win away at two former clubs in the same season.

The other three managers to achieve this feat are Harry Redknapp, Roy Hodgson, and Nuno Espírito Santo.

A must win for Spurs

  • If Tottenham fail to win at Wolves, they will match an unwanted club record of 16 league games without a victory, dating back to the 1934-1935 season.

If Tottenham are going to stay up this season then you’ve got to feel that Saturday’s trip to already-relegated Wolves – one of only two sides below them in the table – feels like a must-win.

A failure to take all three points would not only seriously damage Spurs’ survival hopes but also see them equal an unwanted club record of 16 league matches without a win, a record that dates all the way back to the 1934-35 season.

Spurs also have a poor recent record against Wolves, failing to win any of their last six Premier League meetings, losing four of them, and suffering defeat on each of their last three visits to Molineux.

Arsenal’s April Fools

  • If Arsenal lose to Newcastle then 19.23% of their total Premier League losses under Mikel Arteta will have happened in the month of April (10 out of 52).

Arsenal watched helplessly as Manchester City jumped above them into top spot during the week, however, they have the ideal opportunity to bounce back on Saturday evening against a Newcastle side hopelessly out-of-form with eight defeats from their last 11 league games. On top of that, the Toon have lost 12 and won none of their last 13 league visits to the Emirates, scoring just one goal in their last nine trips.

But, Arsenal themselves have lost each of their last four domestic matches, and they could suffer three straight league defeats for the first time since April 2022.

In fact, April isn’t a particularly fruitful month for Arsenal. If the Gunners do lose this weekend then 19.23% of their total Premier League losses (10 out of 52) under Arteta would have occurred in the month of April.

Bruno closing in

  • Bruno Fernandes is one assist away from matching Mesut Özil’s tally of 19 assists in a single Premier League season, and just two short of the all-time record of 20, jointly held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne. Three more would see him set a new outright record.

Bruno Fernandes moved onto 18 Premier League assists for the season after providing the pass for Matheus Cunha in the 1-0 win at Chelsea. He is now just one shy of Mesut Ozil’s single season tally of 19, and only two behind the joint all-time best set by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne. With six assists in his last six matches, the United captain will be confident of adding to his tally when Brentford visit Old Trafford on Monday night.

However, United face a tricky test, with Brentford having won the last two meetings between the sides. The Bees arrive unbeaten in six league games (W1 5D) and could become the first Premier League team to draw six consecutive matches since Manchester City did so in October-November 2009 (7).
