⭐⭐⭐⭐Liverpool have won 13 of the last 16 meetings with Bournemouth and the Reds look good value here. Bournemouth are going through a tricky patch. Antonie Semenyo has left for Manchester City, Justin Kluivert, Tyler Adams and Marcus Tavernier are all out injured and they could face a tricky few weeks. Liverpool are unbeaten in their last ten in the league and at 10/11, they are worth getting behind on Saturday.

⭐⭐⭐Bournemouth have conceded the most goals from set-peices this season, with 15. That opens the door for few punts on Liverpool defenders, and the one we are attacking is Virgil van Dijk. The centre-back has scored twice in the Champions League this season and it would be no surprise to see him pop up at a corner and find the net against the Cherries.

How both teams go into Bournemouth vs Liverpool

Bournemouth’s latest outing ended in frustration at the Amex, where a late collapse denied them a rare success. Marcus Tavernier’s spot kick had put Andoni Iraola’s side on course for only their second away win of the campaign, before a stunning stoppage time bicycle kick from Charalampos Kostoulas earned Brighton a draw.

While Bournemouth remain closer to the top four than the relegation zone on points, that offers little comfort for supporters, especially following Antoine Semenyo’s departure to Manchester City. Matters are not helped by a daunting record against Liverpool, who have beaten the Cherries 12 times in 13 Premier League meetings and scored 52 goals against them.

Liverpool may not have tasted a Premier League win since their narrow victory over Wolves at the end of 2025, but they remain well placed in the race for Champions League qualification. A frustrating 1-1 draw with Burnley last weekend, their fourth consecutive league stalemate, allowed Manchester United and Chelsea to close the gap, with several other sides now just a few points off fourth place. The run of draws is historic for the club and has increased outside noise around Arne Slot, even though their league position remains strong.

That uncertainty has been eased by a comfortable Champions League win over Marseille, which extended Liverpool’s unbeaten run in all competitions to 13 matches. No side in Europe’s top five leagues is currently on a longer undefeated streak, and the Reds have now gone 10 Premier League games without defeat. Their away form also remains impressive, with no losses on the road since their heavy defeat at Manchester City back in November.

Bournemouth team news

Justin Kluivert, Tyler Adams, Ben Doak, Enes Unal, David Brooks, Marcus Tavernier and Julio Soler are all out for the hosts.

Liverpool team news

Conor Bradley, Alexander Isak and Ibrahima Konate will miss the trip to Bournemouth.

Season Form & Standings

2025/26 season to date: Liverpool have kept themselves in the Champions League race, while Bournemouth sit in the lower mid-table. Both sides have had mixed recent results, but Liverpool’s numbers suggest a higher ceiling.

Conclusion

With a flurry of injuries and after losing their best player in Antonie Semenyo, Bournemouth could be entering a really difficult period of the campaign. With that in mind, backing the visitors look the best bet at just under even money.
