Manchester United will be hoping to tighten their grip on a spot in the Premier League’s top five when they host Brentford on Monday at 8pm.
The Red Devils currently sit third, and are eight points ahead of sixth-placed Brighton and Hove Albion — having played a game fewer.

Man Utd team news vs Brentford
The big news for Man Utd is Harry Maguire’s return from suspension. The Man Utd centre-back had an extra game added to his ban for his conduct, following a sending off against Bournemouth.
He’ll likely go straight back into the starting XI, with Lisandro Martinez still to serve two games of his suspension. Leny Yoro is still a doubt so may not make it to the starting XI should he return.
Ayden Heaven is likely to partner Maguire, with Noussair Mazraoui back on the right and Diogo Dalot dropping out. Luke Shaw should start at left-back, with Patrick Dorgu yet to return.

Bryan Mbeumo picked up a bit of a knock late on against Chelsea last weekend, but the Cameroonian isn’t expect to miss this game. He’ll start on the right, with Benjamin Sesko likely to continue through the middle.
The rest of the midfield setup should remain the same too. Bruno Fernandes has been shining back in the No.10 role, while Matheus Cunha made the impact from the left against Chelsea.
Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro are now the first-choice double pivot for Man Utd. It means Manuel Ugarte will once again have to make do with a substitute role.

Thierry Henry was the first, hitting 20 in 2002-03 — a record that he held on his own until Kevin De Bruyne matched him in 2019-20. And in 2015-16, Mesut Ozil looked on course to break the record but he ended up with just 19.
Fernandes has created 109 chances so far that season, over 45 more than any other player. He also sits eight assists clear of any other player, and leads for Expected Assists on 9.64.
The Portuguese midfielder is on a good run too. He’s provided an assist in five of his past six league games, with six assists overall. During that run, Fernandes has never created fewer than three chances in a match. He’s constantly creating again, and history could be made very soon.
