Premier League predictions – Gameweek 4: Back Chelsea to get the better of Brentford

The Premier League returns for gameweek 4 after the international break, with fixtures taking place over Saturday and Sunday.

The Manchester derby takes centre stage on Sunday, with United making the short trip to the Etihad, while Liverpool head to Burnley. On Saturday, two London derbies take place, with Brentford hosting Chelsea and West Ham facing Spurs.

Here are the fixtures for Gameweek 4 (September 13–14, 2025), along with our predictions for each game.

Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest – Saturday 13 September, 12:30pm

Nottingham Forest have been pretty sloppy at the back this season and a drastic change in style under Ange Postecoglou could spell trouble for the Tricky Trees. The new Forest boss will not want his team to get blown away in his first game in charge, but with Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres coming into form, the Gunners should have too much for the visitors.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-0 Nottingham Forest (11/2 with BOYLE Sports)

Bournemouth vs Brighton – Saturday 13 September, 3:00pm

Three of the last four meetings between Bournemouth and Brighton have featured both teams getting on the scoresheet. The Cherries have seen off Spurs and Wolves so far this season and put in a respectable showing on Matchday 1 in the 4-2 defeat to Liverpool. Despite Brighton’s win last time out against Manchester City, Bournemouth can come out on top in what could be an entertaining contest.

Prediction: Bournemouth 2-1 Brighton (8/1 with BOYLE Sports)

Crystal Palace vs Sunderland – Saturday 13 September, 3:00pm

Crystal Palace have not lost in their last seven league games at Selhurst Park, a run that has turned the ground into a genuine stronghold. Defensively, they’ve been just as impressive, recording four clean sheets in five outings across all competitions this season. Sunderland have only played one match on the road so far this term, which ended in a flat 2-0 defeat at Burnley.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 2-1 Sunderland (15/2 with BOYLE Sports)

Everton vs Aston Villa – Saturday 13 September, 3:00pm

Everton are winless in their last 12 Premier League matches against Aston Villa. The Toffees have started the campaign well under David Moyes, with Jack Grealish, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Iliman Ndiaye thriving in attack. Villa are yet to score this season, but one feels it’s only a matter of time until they kick into gear this term.

Preciction: Everton 1-1 Aston Villa (5/1 with BOYLE Sports)

Fulham vs Leeds United – Saturday 13 September, 3:00pm

Fulham have shown promising form in their first three matches, even if their two points don’t quite reflect the level they’ve displayed. The Cottagers hold the upper hand in recent meetings with Leeds, having won the last three encounters, and they’ll be confident of securing all three points at home this weekend.

Prediction: Fulham 2-1 Leeds United (15/2 with BOYLE Sports)

Newcastle vs Wolves – Saturday 13 September, 3:00pm

Newcastle will be eager to secure their first win of the season as they host Wolves, a team they’ve consistently had the upper hand against at St James’ Park, winning each of their last four encounters there. Their confidence will be boosted by Wolves’ recent struggles, having lost six of their last seven Premier League outings. Still, the Magpies can’t afford to be complacent, having managed just three clean sheets from 12 matches across all competitions, including friendlies.

Prediction: Newcastle 2-0 Wolves (6/1 with BOYLE Sports)

West Ham vs Tottenham – Saturday 13 September, 5:30pm

Few people would have predicted West Ham to record a 3-0 win on the road at Nottingham Forest before the international break, after pressure had been building on Graham Potter. This makes this clash with Spurs rather tricky to predict after the Lilywhites were beaten at home to Bournemouth two weeks ago. However, three of the last six meetings have ended in a 1-1 draw, and six of the last seven have seen both teams score.

Prediction: West Ham 1-1 Tottenham (6/1 with BOYLE Sports)

Brentford vs Chelsea – Saturday 13 September, 8:00pm

Brentford have been in fine scoring form at home, netting 11 goals across their last four Premier League matches. In fact, both teams have scored in seven of their last ten encounters, suggesting a high likelihood of goals on both sides. Still, Chelsea’s firepower could prove decisive, giving them the edge to secure the win at the GTech Stadium.

Prediction: Brentford 1-3 Chelsea (12/1 with BOYLE Sports)

Burnley vs Liverpool – Sunday 14 September, 2:00pm

Burnley face a nightmare test this Sunday as they host Liverpool, the reigning Premier League champions. The Clarets have struggled out of the gate, already conceding multiple goals in two of their first three league games, while Liverpool are flying, winning all three of their opening matches and keeping a clean sheet against Arsenal last time out. History also favors the Reds—they’ve beaten Burnley in each of their last five league meetings, often by comfortable margins. With Liverpool’s firepower and Burnley’s leaky defence, a dominant 4-0 win for the visitors looks spot on.

Prediction: Burnley 0-4 Liverpool (14/1 with BOYLE Sports)

Manchester City vs Manchester United – Sunday 14 September, 4:30pm

Manchester United will be without Matheus Cunha on Sunday after he picked up an injury against Burnley a fortnight ago. City have suffered back-to-back defeats against Spurs and Brighton; however, they can bounce back in what has the potential to be a high-scoring affair with both teams fielding new goalkeepers.
