The Premier League is back, but that doesn’t mean it’s the end of the transfer window.
England’s top-flight gets underway once again this weekend, the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal looking to rip the title from Liverpool’s grasp.
It’s no surprise at this point in the summer to see clubs ramping up their transfer activity. In fact, just this week, we’ve seen some big deals go through, including Malick Thiaw joining Newcastle and Jack Grealish’s loan from City to Everton.
We’ve also seen some big names leave the Premier League, most notably with Illia Zabarnyi completing a lucrative switch from Bournemouth to PSG and Darwin Nunez trading Liverpool for Al-Hilal after proving a flop at Anfield.

Kingsley Coman
- From: Bayern Munich
- To: Al-Nassr
It’s still bonkers to think that Kingsley Coman went on a decade-long title-winning streak with PSG, Juventus and Bayern Munich. In fact, since 2012/13, only Bayer Leverkusen’s 2023/24 Bundesliga triumph has blotted his record.
The France international enjoyed a much more injury-free campaign last time around, hitting nine goals and six assists in 45 appearances across all competitions to help Bayer re-establish their German dominance.
However, at 29, Coman has decided it’s now time for a payday, joining the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane and Marcelo Brozovic in a stacked Al-Nassr squad. Inigo Martinez has also joined the Saudi club recently from Barcelona.
Giovanni Leoni
- From: Parma
- To: Liverpool
Giovanni Leoni surely won’t be the last defensive signing Liverpool make this summer, and at just 18 years old, he’s certainly one for the future. However, he looked impressive across his 17 Serie A matches for Parma last summer and can now learn from the best as he works alongside Virgil van Dijk.
Toby Collyer
- From: Manchester United
- To: West Brom
Toby Collyer is a player with clear talent, but Manchester United are spending big and it’s going to be very difficult for him to break through at Old Trafford. At 21 years old, he cannot afford to be missing out on minutes, so a loan in the Championship with West Brom should do him the world of good.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin
- From: Free agent
- To: Leeds United
Dominic Calvert-Lewin finally ended his long association with Everton this summer, leaving at the end of his contract as the club’s record Premier League goalscorer. There are serious question marks around his ability to stay fit, as well as his form seriously dipping in the last couple of years. But on his day, he can still be a menace for defenders and could prove to be a very shrewd addition for newly-promoted Leeds United.
Abdoulaye Doucoure
- From: Free agent
- To: NEOM SC
Abdoulaye Doucoure also departed the Toffees as a free agent this summer, and while his list of achievements isn’t as long as Calvert-Lewin’s, they’re arguably even more important — with that famous goal on the final day against Bournemouth in May 2023 responsible for maintaining Everton’s Premier League status.
He was always expected to move to the Saudi Pro League upon leaving Everton and has now completing his switch to Neom SC.
Nathan Broadhead
- From: Ipswich Town
- To: Wrexham
We promise this isn’t an ex-Everton player column!
Nathan Broadhead never really got a look-in during his days at Goodison Park, but he did show he can cut it in the Championship with Ipswich in 2023/24, netting 13 goals in 38 appearances to help the Tractor Boys to promotion.
The Wales international only scored twice in the Premier League as Ipswich were immediately relegated, but could prove a very useful addition to big-spending Wrexham, who have paid a club-record £10m for his services.
Franco Mastantuono
- From: River Plate
- To: Real Madrid
We’ve known Franco Mastantuono is Real Madrid-bound for a long time now, but the supremely talented Argentine made the move official this week. The 17-year-old has been registered as a Castilla player, but is expected to spend the entire 2025/26 campaign with Xabi Alonso’s senior team.
Matty Longstaff
- From: Toronto FC
- To: CF Montreal
While Sean Longstaff joined Leeds United this summer, brother Matty is continuing his tour of Canada.
After 18 months and 57 games at Toronto FC, Longstaff Jr has now moved to arch-rivals CF Montreal, in a move that sees Jules-Anthony Vilsaint go the other way.
Both Canadian sides have been poor in MLS this season, but Montreal will hope the addition of a quality midfielder can help them see out the campaign in style.
Rav van den Berg
- From: Middlesbrough
- To: FC Koln
Speaking of footballing brothers, Sepp van den Berg’s younger sibling, Rav, has impressed in the Championship with Middlesbrough over the last couple of years and has now earned himself a switch to the Bundesliga with FC Koln.
Could we one day see the Van den Berg brothers pair up at centre-back for the Netherlands? The former Zwolle youngsters have earned 29 caps combined for the Oranje at youth level so far.
Arijanet Muric
- From: Ipswich Town
- To: Sassuolo
Arijanet Muric has endured some tough times in recent years, especially last season, making some high-profile errors during Ipswich’s relegation campaign. A move to new surroundings with recently-promoted Serie A side Sassuolo might be just the boost he needs.
Bafode Diakite
- From: Lille
- To: Bournemouth
Bournemouth have endured some massive departures this window, with Zabarnyi’s sale only coming after Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez left — among others — while Dango Ouattara also look set to join Brentford.
Of course, the Cherries have been making moves to strengthen, and Andoni Iraola will be relieved to get another centre-back through the door, signing former France youth international Bafode Diakite from Lille.
Odysseas Vlachodimos
- From: Newcastle United
- To: Sevilla
Remember when Newcastle paid £20m for Odysseas Vlachodimos last summer then played him for all of 45 minutes? There was definitely some PSR shenanigans at play when he moved to St. James’ Park, with Elliot Anderson going to Nottingham Forest for £35m.
Anyway, the Greece international has already left the Magpies, on loan with Spanish club Sevilla for the 2025/26 campaign.
Omar Alderete
- From: Getafe
- To: Sunderland
Is there end to Sunderland’s spending this summer? The Black Cats have made a pair of defensive signings this week, with Paraguayan centre-back Omar Alderete joining alongside former West Ham full-back Arthur Masuaku, taking their total number of incomings to 11 and counting.
Has the Jobe money run out yet?
Alvaro Morata
- From: AC Milan
- To: Como
Just a year ago, Alvaro Morata was leading Spain to Euro 2024 glory and signing for AC Milan. Things haven’t quite panned out for the ex-Chelsea striker, though a seven-goal spell on loan at Galatasaray in the second half of last season proved he still knows where the net is.
Como should be a great place for the 32-year-old reignite the flame.
Giacomo Raspadori
- From: Napoli
- To: Atletico Madrid
Giacomo Raspadori has been a major figure in two Serie A title wins for Napoli, epsecially last season, when he notched six goals in 26 league outings.
However, the 40-time Italy international has never been able to truly hold down his starting spot with the Partenopei, but a move to Atletico Madrid has serious potential.
Chuba Akpom
- From: Ajax
- To: Ipswich Town
Chuba Akpom’s surprise move to Ajax started out with such promise, with the former Arsenal striker netting 15 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions in his first season.
But the ex-England youth international struggled to break into the team last season, then endured an unsuccessful loan at Lille in the second half of the campaign.
Akpom has now returned to England with Ipswich Town, once again on loan.
Arnaut Danjuma
- From: Villarreal
- To: Valencia
Arnaut Danjuma’s career has been on a steady decline ever since he left Villarreal in January 2023, struggling for Tottenham, Everton and Girona since then.
The Netherlands international has joined La Liga giants Valencia on a free transfer this summer and at 28 years old, he really needs to get this one right.
Lucas Chevalier
- From: Lille
- To: PSG
This is a move that could have a massive domino effect, with Lucas Chevalier immediately being installed as the No.1 at PSG following his move from Lille.
In turn, Gianluigi Donnarumma looks set to leave the European champions, with the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United linked. The former looks most likely, with Galatasaray now making a move for Ederson.
Joe Gelhardt
- From: Leeds United
- To: Hull City
While Leeds have brought in Calvert-Lewin to help boost their goalscoring in the Premier League, Joe Gelhardt has returned to the Championship, on loan at Hull City, where he spent the second half of last season — scoring five goals — after being frozen out at Elland Road.
Mads Hermansen
- From: Leicester City
- To: West Ham
Alphonse Areola has been in chronically bad form for West Ham over the last couple of years, making three errors leading to goal in the 2024/25 Premier League alone.
West Ham have upgraded in the goalkeeper position, though, with the signing of Mads Hermansen, who made 103 saves in the Premier League last season with Leicester.
