Arsenal officially get their pre-season underway with a friendly against AC Milan at the National Stadium in Singapore on Wednesday 23rd July at 12:30pm (UK time). The Gunners have bolstered their squad this summer and this will be the chance for fans to get a first look at some new signings. The game will be broadcast live in the UK on Arsenal.com for subscribers.
Highest Scoring Half: 2nd
It’s hard to predict what’s going to happen in pre-season friendlies. But the mass changes and lack of match fitness often makes for goal fests. And it would make sense for this to happen in the second half, as legs grow tired.
Kai Havertz to score anytime
Kai Havertz was Arsenal’s top scorer across all competitions last season. The German scored 15 goals in 36 appearances, averaging 0.48 per 90 minutes.

How both teams go into Arsenal vs AC Milan
Arsenal were once again Premier League runners-up in 2024-25. Only this time they finished behind Liverpool, rather than Manchester City. So now they must begin again. And there have been positive moves made in the transfer market. While more midfield reinforcements have been added, Arsenal have also brought Noni Madueke to provide some much needed cover in attack. The new striker is yet to arrive, but Arsenal look close to securing a deal for Viktor Gyokeres.
Arsenal have five games in pre-season, three of which come as part of an Asian tour. These matches will be vital to provide fitness and retune tactics ahead of the new Premier League season.
There’s a new era at AC Milan. Well, an old-new ara. Massimiliano Allegri is back in charge of the Rossoneri, replacing Sergio Conceicao at the end of the campaign. It wasn’t a good season for AC Milan, with an eighth-placed finished bringing a failure to qualify for Europe.
This is also AC Milan’s first pre-season game, one of three played in Asia — though their tour takes them to Australia for one match. The Gunners are also one of four English teams AC Milan will face in pre-season before getting their campaign underway in August.
Arsenal team news
Arsenal fans will be hoping to get a first look at the likes of Madueke, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard in a Gunners shirt.
AC Milan team news
Luka Modric’s move to AC Milan has been confirmed, but he hasn’t been included in their squad for the tour. The Croatian will have a break after playing in the Club World Cup for Real Madrid.
Arsenal vs AC Milan head-to-head
It’s been seven years since these sides last met competitively, with Arsenal winning in the Europa League.
