Poland Women vs Denmark Women prediction, stats, tips & team news

Poland Women and Denmark Women meet in their final Women’s Euro 2025 group stage match at Allmend Stadion in Luzern on Saturday 12 July at 8pm (UK time). These two are the outsiders in Group C but will hope to sneak through to the knockout stages in a match that will be broadcast live in the UK on BBC iPlayer.

Denmark to win to nil (7/4 with Bet365)

Denmark Women were never really in the running against Germany Women or Sweden Women, but they should have more chance to prove their worth against one of the youngest teams in Euro 2025 on Saturday.

Poland Women have just one player over the age of 29 in their squad, and the inexperience has shown in their opening two matches, which have seen them lose by an aggregate scoreline of 5-0.

Nina Patalon’s side have managed just four shots on target across 180 minutes of football, allowing their opponents 13 at the other end and conceding 7.12 expected goals.

Denmark, despite losing, have at least shown signs of making a game of things. They scored the first goal against Germany and have had twice as many shots on target as Saturday’s opponents, and Poland Women will almost certainly prove to be a more winnable fixture than the two group favourites they have faced so far.

The last time these two sides met, Denmark Women demolished Poland Women 6-0, and while a scoreline of that magnitude is unlikely, I do expect them to keep a clean sheet in victory against the underdogs.

Amalie Vangsgaard to score first (5/1 with Bet365)

Amalie Vangsgaard scored the opening goal in the 26th minute against Germany, and she may be able to open the scoring again at the Swissporarena.

That was the 28-year-old’s 11th goal for her country, and six of those goals have come in her last 18 appearances.

Along with captain Pernille Harder, Vangsgaard will be Denmark’s main attacking outlet, and she looks a great price to get the ball rolling for the favourites.

How both teams go into Poland Women vs Denmark Women

After both Poland and Denmark lost their opening two games in Group C, this will be both sides’ final outing in Euro 2025, and they will be hoping to give their fans something to cheer for after a disappointing opening couple of games.

Poland have lost both of their games at Euro 2025, without scoring a goal. They lost 2-0 to Germany before being defeated 3-0 by Sweden. Denmark have suffered a similar fate but at least managed to find the net against Germany, albeit in a 2-1 defeat. They lost their opening game against Sweden by a 1-0 scoreline.

Denmark head to Luzern having lost four of their last five matches in all competitions, but a meeting with a youthful Poland represents an easier test for Andree Jeglertz’s side, and the odds-on favourites will be confident of signing off with a win against a side playing in their first-ever major international tournament finals.

Poland Women vs Denmark Women team news

This will be just the third meeting between these two nations and the first since 2016, when they were in the same Euros qualification group. The first match ended 0-0 in Poland, before Denmark enjoyed an emphatic 6-0 win in the return match.
