Antoine Semenyo’s goals piling pressure on Arsenal in title race
Many City fans will have been worried when they lost Erling Haaland to injury in mid-February. However, since that 2-1 win over Newcastle United, Antoine Semenyo has once again proven his worth, and that he has the ability to replace the Norwegian sensation.
Semenyo’s winner against Leeds United last time out was his 14th in the Premier League this season, and his fourth since joining City in January.
All four of them have come in Semenyo’s last six appearances, while the Ghanaian has six goals and two assists in 11 appearances for the Cityzens across all competitions.
Semenyo is proving singlehandedly that City can cope without Haaland when required, and that he doesn’t need to shoulder the entire goalscoring burden even when fit.
City will be desperate to see Semenyo find the net again in their bid to pile the pressure on Arsenal as we enter the title race’s final sprint.
