Brentford vs Everton prediction, stats, tips & team news

Brentford and Everton face off at the Gtech Community Stadium on Wednesday 26th February at 7:30pm both looking to move up the Premier League table. The Bees are still in the bottom half, but will be looking to put pressure on the teams above them. Everton, meanwhile, will be hoping to put more distance between themselves and the relegation zone. This game will be broadcast live on TNT Sports 5.

Both Teams to Score (8/11 with BetMGM)

Brentford are the only side without a home clean sheet in the Premier League this season (13 games). Only four teams have had a longer run from the start of a campaign in the competition without a home shutout – Blackburn in 2011-12 (14), Wigan in 2012-13 (15), Blackpool in 2010-11 (17) and Watford in 2021-22 (17), all of whom were relegated.

Everton have been much improved under David Moyes and despite Brentford having a strong home record, the Toffees can get on the scoresheet. They have scored two goals in all of their last three, with BTTS clicking in all of those.

Beto & Bryan Mbeumo both to Score (7/1 with Betfair)

Continuing on the theme of this being a high-scoring contest, I’ve put together a 7/1 double consisting of Beto and Mbeumo finding the net.

Beto has scored in each of his last four Premier League games, with only three Everton players ever doing so in five in a row – Duncan Ferguson (April-August 2001), Romelu Lukaku (7 in November/December 2015), and Dominic Calvert-Lewin (September/October 2020).

Bryan Mbeumo has thrived this season without Ivan Toney at his side and already has 15 league goals to his name. Seven of those have arrived in his last 12, with nine of the 15 being in home matches since the start of the campaign.

How both teams go into Brentford vs Everton

There was a time not too long ago when Brentford were unbeatable at home and terrible on the road. Now their fortunes have changed. The Bees have won their past three away league games, the first time they’ve achieved that feat in the Premier League. At the Gtech Community Stadium, though, they’ve taken one point from their past five. They have had a tough run of fixtures to be fair to Brentford, but sometimes it is hard to get out of a rut.

Everton will be hoping to benefit from that. The Toffees have found new life under David Moyes, and surely cannot be counted in the relegation battle. They currently sit 14th, 14 points clear of the drop zone. Moyes has turned their fortunes around. Since the Scot’s return, Everton have won four of their six Premier League games, including both of their away matches. They’re unbeaten in six now in the league and have started to find the net more frequently.

Brentford team news

Igor Thiago and Gustavo Nunes are remain out for Brentford, but are being constantly tracked. Sepp van den Berg had to come off in the win over West Ham due to injury. Rico Henry, Josh Dasilva and Aaron Hickey are also injured.

Everton team news

Seamus Coleman and Youssef Chermiti appear to be closing in on returns for Everton. But the Toffees still have a handful of injury absentees. Everton are expected to be without Iliman Ndiaye, Nathan Paterson, Armando Broja, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Dwight McNeil. Orel Mangala is out for the season. Jesper Lindstrom faces a late fitness test.

Brentford vs Everton head-to-head

Everton are unbeaten in their past five games against Brentford, winning three and drawing two. In the Premier League at the Gtech Community Stadium, Brentford and Everton have had one win each alongside one draw.
